"Loved our stay at the farmhouse! We had more than enough dishes and cookware for our stay. The beds were so comfortable. We were all fast asleep as soon as we hit the pillows. It was nice to be back in a farmhouse and you can see they took care to show the history and labor of love the home was. There were little things here and there that reminded me of my grandparents farmhouse and it was nice to reminisce."

"Nine old friends got together in this wonderful house. Can't say enough great things about it. The photos don't do it justice. Large, beautifully decorated rooms. Very comfortable beds. Big fluffy towels. Plenty of space to sit in groups and talk. While the rooms are decorated in period furniture, the kitchen is totally modern. We prepared all but one of our meals there. Owners very friendly. We loved it."

All of the little touches made our stay just perfect, such as having great linens, snacks, coffee, working appliances and easy access in and out of the home and the driveway. "Once again the owner (Steve) went above and beyond making our family right at home. This was our 4th year here and already making plans for next year. Thanks again for the 5 star weekend. "

"We had an excellent weekend at the Luxury Lodges. The house was stocked with everything we needed, from linens and towels to cookware and paper products. It was very clean as well. The property is secluded for privacy and offers a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. The basement is an open area with games to play as well . We will definitely stay again, hopefully in the near future."

"We loved everything about this house! The suites are great, kitchen is well stocked, plenty of room for our family vacation. We also loved the location, we took day trips to Galena and Dyersville. We enjoyed outdoor games in the yard, went to the golf/mini-golf course, as well as other attractions in Dubuque. We appreciate the owners attention to details and the pristine condition of the home. The best VRBO house we have stayed in. "

"It was a sister/SIL trip! We had a wonderful time! The Becwar house is a beautiful home with an “antiquish” feel. The house was clean and very well equipped with everything we’d need for our stay. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. We were walking distance to bars and wine and restaurants. John was quick to communicate from the start. We really appreciated him for everything. Thank you John! We’ll stay again if we’re in the area. "
