The village of Rattelvitz consists of the manor house with its neighbouring fields, which extend to the Bodden of the Baltic Sea.
The village of Gingst with its shops and restaurants is 3 kilometres from Rattelvitz. Gingst has retained its historical character to this day thanks to its once medieval hustle and bustle. Not only the circular market square with its houses, but also the craftsmen's workshops still show the village as a former centre of craftsmanship on Rügen.
The special thing about the location of Gut Rattelvitz is the absolute peace and quiet; you will be woken up by birds in the morning. It is not uncommon to see rabbits or deer grazing in the meadows around the estate.
You can start hikes and cycle tours through the forest directly from the house. For example, you can cycle to the beautiful island of Ummanz, which is 6 kilometres from Rattelvitz. There you can swim on a small beach or take advantage of the windsurfing facilities. If you would like to spend a day at the beach, we recommend driving 37 kilometres to the Baltic Sea beach of Juliusruh. A beautiful long white sandy beach awaits you there, which is the ideal destination on a warm summer's day. A few kilometres from Rattelvitz you have the opportunity to go horse riding. The centre of Gingst with its restaurants and shops is just 3 km from Rattelvitz. Here you will also find Rügen's largest leisure park, which is definitely worth a visit.
The large park-like gardens surrounding the estate offer plenty of space to sunbathe and relax. Read a good book outside in the garden or simply enjoy the nature around you and let your mind wander.
On warm summer days, you can have breakfast or a barbecue in the privacy of your own outdoor seating area. As there is virtually no car traffic, the whole area is very suitable for children of all ages. Your children can let off steam and explore the surroundings in the large garden and on the climbing frame with swing and sandpit.
Older children can play football on the north side or on the trampoline. Smaller children play on the south side, always in view of their parents from the outdoor seating. If the weather is not so sunny, then head to the play barn for all ages or to the large sauna in the coach house, with relaxation room and reading area, where you are sure to find something suitable among >1,000 books.
The 1.5 hectare park offers children a large run-out area with a football goal and large trampoline.
The play barn is in the BirkenStall with a crawling corner, reading area, indoor trampoline, table football and table tennis. You can park your car in the StallGarage, there is also an e-charging station

The 86m² holiday flat is furnished with antique and modern furniture. The special ambience and attention to detail will delight you! The normal occupancy of the Apartment Parterre WEST is four people, an extra bed for small children (cot) can be requested. Children are welcome! It offers spacious rooms with plenty of natural light and an open, light-flooded living/dining area. These immediately create a feeling of well-being. You will be pleased not to have a landline connection. Nevertheless, modern technology is at your disposal. WLAN, a radio and satellite TV complete the furnishings. The living area offers seating, while the kitchen area includes a cooker, coffee machine and fridge. Access to the microwave, a dishwasher and a dining area. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with a single or double bed. The sanitary facilities offer the highest level of comfort: an exclusive white designer bathroom and a private sauna offer you special holiday enjoyment. Enjoy the sauna on cool evenings and the barbecue on the outdoor seating area on warm summer days. Pets are not allowed.
