Private Villa on 2 Acres with Chef and Saltwater Pool

Moon Hill is a unique oasis of seclusion, escape and serenity that is located on 2.5 acres. The villa is located at the foot of a rainforest, on the eastern side of the island of Nevis. The property is accessed though a private gate and is situated at the top of a hill.

From the front balcony you'll have unobstructed and magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea with Antigua, Barbuda (on a clear day), Montserrat, and Guadeloupe visible from the balcony. From the rear you'll be captivated by the spectacular views of Mt. Nevis - a mountain which rises to over 3,000 feet, covered in a lush tropical rainforest.

Next to the house is your own private pool and a covered gazebo in which you can be served lunch by your own cook.

The villa itself is a one-story house with shuttered screen doors which open from within onto a 40' covered veranda with an open terrace for sunning.

The House
The house itself is located on the site of an old existing Great House of a sugar plantation. The house overlooks the old estate property and many of the stonework found in the house were hand cut from the existing centuries' old buildings on the estate.

The main room in the house is a large living room / dining room with a sitting area of a couch and chairs at one end of the room. The screened doors overlook and open onto the large veranda with sweeping views of the Caribbean.

There is a television from which you can access many stations along with high speed WiFi if you need to work remotely at any time.

The Bedrooms
From the living room, there is a small hallway leading to two bedrooms. The master bedroom faces the pool and has a large queen-sized poster bed hand-carved from Purple Heart wood.

The other bedroom has a King sized bed that can be converted into two large twin beds.

All of the beds are organic mattresses so you should have no concern about allergies or any off-gassing from mattresses.

There is one bathroom with a shower and tub from which you will have views of the mountain while showering.

Food and Cooking
Moon Hill is the only villa for rent on Nevis which provides a cook to prepare your meals. We have had someone who has helped us for the last 20 years as a cook and looking after our house when we are not there. Her name is Tessie and we consider her to be like family. As such, we have extended her service for any guests that stay at our villa. She will prepare lunch and dinner for you and will also clean the house on a daily basis. As a note, while the rental price does not include shopping or the cost of any food, Tessie will prepare any dish for you and, after many years, we can vouch for the fact that she is fantastic.

Lunch is usually served in the gazebo outside by the pool and dinner is prepared for you to eat at your leisure at night (the dinner is prepared and all you have to do is put it in the oven). Obviously you are free to coordinate and eat out any meals you'd like her to prepare (we would thoroughly recommend doing so as Nevis has some of the best restaurants you will find around the world), but know that she is available every day from Monday to Friday to cook for you.
