"A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

"The landlord went out of his way to be helpful "

"I was traveling to the area alone and had chosen to stay here. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who I later discovered was the owner. The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. "

"Our stay was lovely: the manageress, bar staff and waitresses were all welcoming. They provided information about the local area and showed interest when we returned after our days out. We stayed three nights in a very comfortable room, with a good selection at breakfast. We ate in one evening which very tasty. We would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was perfectly placed for a walk to the station. The town was delightful with a good Italian restaurant and other shops around"

"Lovely spacious room in the cottage. Everything was catered for. Options for breakfast and dinner. We had a lovely sitting outside area which was handy on one of the hottest days. We parked in the long stay car park but then the lady on reception informed us that after 5pm the street was quieter and we managed to park our car nearby. "

"Lovely locarion, very quiet with excellent sized rooms. The food was excellent and great bonus was breakfast being included and also a heated swimming pool to look out on"

"Had a brilliant stay at the Horseshoe Hotel, proper cosy place, staff were very friendly and the room was spacious and very clean. Would definitely stay again"

"It is in the heart of the little town which makes walking to everything easy. The staff were very nice and love the hotel as much as we did. No elevator for those that over pack!"
