"Interesting stay. Had fun lighting the fire and cooking our food over it."

"Great house with parking in an excellent location. Amazing communication with staff through email and locally. Always ready to assist. House itself was very convenient for us with great comfy beds and washer/dryer unit. won’t fit those that have hard time going up and down the stairs from the main floor to bedrooms. Breakfast at the nearby hotel (1 min walk) was also excellent."

"Great stay"

"Excellent, large house with tatatmi mats. Comfortable beds. Lovely to be able to cook for ourselves and do laundry. Road is a little busier at night time than I thiught it would be. Remember earplugs or move into a room further away from road. The process for checking in required passports to be sent prior to receiving check in details. Standard process in Japan, but I was wary. Excellent communication. Comfortable and clean home in a lovely residential area away from the town. Tip:...

"Beautiful, large guest house in Takayama that is filled with light and plenty of room. A very easy, close 2-3 minute walk to the train station. Breakfast was good. It has a washer/dryer in the unit."

The house was very spacious, with plenty of bedding for everyone, and having coffee and tea available was a really nice touch. The location was also great, very close to the markets and within walking distance of the main attractions. Overall, we had a great stay and felt really comfortable here. Definitely recommend if...
