Wine Down Bungalow-Newly Renovated, Perfect For Two! Your private lake break!

The Wine Down Bungalow on Seneca Lake ensures your total privacy with 1 exclusive parking spot for your stay. The bungalow completely remodeled in 2023. It is a separate cottage/apartment from the main lakehouse where you will receive an exclusive key pad entrance to unlock your way to a spacious style bungalow. The Wine Down has a stand up shower and closet with linens/towels. Dinette for two, kitchen including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig and varieties of kcups and tea. The seating area includes two swivel cushion chairs, and a couch for watching TV and relaxing. One comfortable queen size bed with a fireplace and a Mitsubishi heating and cooling unit throughout. Large grill for exclusive use provided outside along with a table and two chairs.
The bungalow is ideal for individuals looking to take in the FLX region and all of its offerings. We are in a perfect location to numerous wineries and lake viewing points. Less than a mile down the road is Roy's Marina where you can rent all your watercraft needs for the day. Additionally, we are less than a 5 minute drive to downtown Geneva and numerous restaurants to explore during your time. ***Note: This rental comes with shared access only to the dock with our larger 4 bedroom home renters. All other waterfront such as firepit, decks, boating, and etc is not shared and exclusive only to the renters of the larger home. Please be mindful of one another. If your looking for more room, feel free to check out our larger Lakehouse rental site, its called Wine Down Retreat (#1884018) on Seneca Lake. The sunrises are beautiful and there are many viewing points here and nearby.

Great Location

No Water view but access

From the photos that were on the listing do not show you what your actual view is. You are staying at a repurposed garage that is very nice that isnā€™t the problem. But I thought we would have a lake view. What you actually see is the main house and no view of the water. The listing in my spouse and I is very misleading. I sat sometime on this review before writing It because I hoped my opinion would change. Unfortunately it didnā€™t. If you want to have a place close to the water this is the spot if you want a water view this is not. Overall had a great stay but the deception of having a view really hurt my opinion of this place.

Great place to stay

We had a great stay in Geneva. The Wine Down Bungalow is clean, spacious and perfect for a few nights away. We had the dock to ourselves for the solar eclipse. Great space to stare out onto the lake. Our first morning, the shower water did not get hot. The owners were quick to respond and it was fixed immediately. Very responsive and easy to deal with. Weā€™d recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute place to stay about a ten minute drive away from the center of Geneva.

Great Eacape

The property was as expectedā€¦ the (shared) dock was a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Seneca Lake. We were lucky that the ā€œbig houseā€ was not occupied, as the lakefront would not have been nearly as nice with others around so close. It was perfect for us to come and go while visiting friends and family, would stay again. Owner and Manager were perfect.

Needs updating because several things are broken, paint job is shabby, linens are poor quality, the bed mattress is very soft and sinks in the middle, One window will not lock and a shade needed re-stringing in order to work. Otherwise the place has potential if upgraded.

Cozy getaway

This is a great place for a quick getaway to the lake. The bungalow is basically a renovated garage which is very cool but also a little small. But, it was perfect for me and my boyfriend for a couple days. Stephanie was very nice and communicated quickly with me. The dock is absolutely beautiful with really nice Adirondack chairs. There is a larger home that has more access to the property which was disclosed in the description. I was completely okay with being able to have access to the dock. It is next to a railroad which was surprising but you canā€™t hear it at all at night. Overall I really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow, it was clean, has AC, and plenty of room for a quick couple nights on the lake. Definitely recommend!

If you decide to stay in the ā€œbungaloā€, there are some things you need to know: 1. Itā€™s not a bungalo, itā€™s a tiny studio apartment above a garage 2. There are some steep steps going up to the place, and the chairs are very uncomfortable. 3. You DO NOT have a view of the lake. All of the pics of the lake are from the view of the big lake house. 4. There is no cable and the roku remote is broken, but you can use your phone with the roku app. Basically, itā€™s a bit of false advertising going on here. Not worth the price.

Great home and location

Staying at Stephanieā€™s Wine Down bungalow was perfect for my wife and I. The bungalow is great for a couple and we loved getting to meet the other families in the main house as we used the shared dock. If weā€™re ever back in the area this would be our go-to place. Stephanie is fantastic and was extremely responsive. There were nice touches in place upon arrival.

Forget about the miserable school year

My wife and I are both public school teachers. We needed to get away from this awful year of teaching during a pandemicā€”and a break from our kids as well. The Wine Down Bungalow was a perfect match for what we needed!
