"WE loved this hotel, it was different. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, maybe the breakfast buffet was only so-so, but, dinner was wonderful. After staying at a hotel in Basel, we came to appreciate that what the Stockalperhoff offered, was small, personable and very enjoyable. Not fancy, but very clean. We give it 5 stars."

"Chegamos à noite e o hotel não tinha ninguém na recepção. Eu havia recebido um email em alemão informando o código para abrir a porta principal do hotel e não havia nenhuma versão do email em inglês. Se não fosse outra hóspede para digitar o código para abrir a porta, eu não teria como entrar no hotel. Ela me levou até o local do café da manhã e me mostrou um envelope com o meu nome e a chave do quarto. Se não fosse essa hóspede, não teria como eu saber onde estava do quarto. O querto era muito...

"I booked this for an overnight stay for our journey to Italy the next morning. The hotel has a great location by the train station, very clean and quiet. The dinner was excellent, one of the best in a long time. Excellent presentation, flavor and portions. Very much enjoyed our conversation with the owner."

"Great hotel, with an incredible view and friendly staff. The only point the hotel should review is the mini-bar in the room because it was empty and turned off. I think in this covid-19 times it should be with some things and of course, switched on."

"Historic wooden hotel that's on UNESCO list. I loved seeing how people lived, even though it meant going to third floor on an old wooden staircase. The rooms are so interesting, with a side room with a third bed reachable by a secret staircase. The food cooked at the restaurant was so good, traditional Swiss food. Very friendly staff, dressed in traditional folklore dresses."
