The Great Outdoors - Pool Table and Hot Tub

Enjoy The Great Outdoors at this awesome 1-bedroom +loft, 2-bathroom cabin for 10 in the Gatlinburg Falls – Hidden Valley Resort! It has space to sleep a family or a group of friends, and it's outfitted with amenities to keep guests relaxed, entertained, and having a great time together.

After a big day, come back to the living room that features a plush sofa and chair, a coffee table large enough for card games, a ceiling fan, an electric (heated) fireplace, tabletop lamps for late-night reading, and a big screen TV. You can whip up meals in the fully equipped kitchen and sit down at the dining table for meals together. When you want to play, head to the rec room to watch movies on the big screen TV, shoot pool, play games on the Xbox systems, and show off old-school skills on the arcade console.

Bedding includes 1 twin bunk bed, 2 sleeper sofas, 1 king bed, and 1 queen bunk bed. Enjoy a bath in the heart-shaped tub before bed, read a book in a rocking chair on the deck, soak in the hot tub, toss burgers on the charcoal grill, and enjoy conveniences like the DVD and Blu-ray players and washer/dryer.

The Great Outdoors does not have Wi-Fi. Guests are invited to unwind and unplug!

Nice place

I had a few issues but we overall enjoyed our stay. The whole reason we booked this particular cabin was because it has 2 bunk beds. (Both my kids wanted a top bunk) The twin sized bunk was so wobbly that it scared my son (8) and he couldn’t sleep up there. It was too dangerous. The remotes didn't work properly. We had to stand very close to the tv for them to work. Upon arrival the door code that was sent to me was incorrect. I ended up calling for assistance but no one answered. I went through an older email and found the correct code that way. The wood bees are insane. I had them bouncing off my head the second I got out of the car. I’m sure that’s hard to keep up with but it would have been nice if someone sprayed before our arrival. The blinds on the downstairs door were broken off and gone so the light shined bright inside very early. The dumpster was broken the entirety of our stay and they expected guests to take it to a different dumpster 20 minutes away.

Excellent Stay

Loved our stay in this cabin for our family’s spring break trip. Perfect amount of space for a family of 5. Great location and amazing views. Enjoyed the hot tub. Our only negative feedback is pertaining to the trash collection. The dumpster compactor in our area was broken. We were directed to one in a neighboring area. One day it was open however the following day that one was also broken leaving us to keep all trash inside our cabin.

The multicade didn’t work, the Xbox controller was broken, and there was no Wi-Fi. There were a few bugs, and there were cigarette ashes all over all three porches. They were definitely not swept. I called the host and asked them to send someone out. They didn’t. My kids were unable to do their online course work while we were there. I specifically wanted Wi-Fi for this reason. Disappointed.

The cabin was nice. The pull out bed got stuck and would not fold up. It was also extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. The king size bed was uncomfortable. The mattress had a dip in it. There was also not enough pillows. We loved the pool table but there was not really enough room to make some of the shots. We did have a storm and the lights were out for a while. We were able to contact management and they assured us they were doing their best. If I hadn’t had a flashlight and some candles we would’ve been in the dark. I think it would be a good idea to have flashlights in the cabin. Everyone did have a good time and the location was good.

Highly recommend this property. We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean & well stocked with plenty of towels and rags. We only had 2 rolls of toilet paper & ended up running out other than that we really loved the cabin, the location was great! We had 3 adults & 3 children & didn’t have any issues with the water. Check in was easy as was check out. The views from the front porch were beautiful. Overall very happy we picked this property & can’t wait to stay again!

Nice location great view

No issue with well water but only 2 adults for 3 nights. Only issue is your cleaning folks put a Queen fitted sheet on a king bed…. Not cool. Very aggravating. Plenty of towels and a nice complimentary supply bag. Overall very pleased. Just aggravating to have a Queen filled sheet on a king bed.

This cabin was very clean. It had plenty of space for several people. For example, if you didn't want to be downstairs while games were being played, you could gather upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, etc. I would definitely recommend it.

An ok property

I was horrified to be greeted with written warnings to not use water to launder, shower, wash dishes all in one day because of the possibility of well water not being available for 24 hours after such water usage. I was just shocked to see the threat of not having any water for 24 hours. Needless to say, showers were every other day and laundry was every other day not shower day. Don’t know that we’ll be back to this cabin.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

Property needs an overall good cleaning: cobwebs in bathroom, and other rooms indicate poor cleaning. Read previous reviews about cleanliness and was concerned. Son found hair and other "stuff" in his bunk bed-not very happy. Cabin overall just acceptable. Bedding needs to be changed, i.e., mattress', etc. When you have plants growing in the gutters and landscaping at the pool facility, this reflects badly on overall ownership/management. This could be a 5 star facility but some earnings needed to be re-invested. I want my family to be happy and comfortable with our hard earned vacation spending's. Cannot say if I would stay at this particular property again. My wife and I have been coming to Gatlinburg since the late 1970's and will continue to visit. We want everyone to love this area as much as we do. Thanks for listening to our feedback.

Overall good

It was a very nice cabin. Great for the four of us. My favorite spot was the front porch! Beautiful! The only downfall was very dusty, lots of cobwebs and pistachio shells left. Also closet in bedroom had a Christmas tree stored in it so I could not use.

Great cabin to stay in and close to downtown Gatlinburg. As with a lot of cabins the water pressure in showers weren’t that great. Had issues with tv remote in main living room not wanting to work and couldn’t access Netflix on game room tv due to parental access code not being available. These weren’t big issues to us since we didn’t spend much time in cabin.

Don't rent these.

We where initially told that check in would be at 4pm then found out (half way there) that check in would be at 6pm. Once we got to the cabin it was still being cleaned and we didn't officially check in till 6:30pm. That's the good part. We found chips on the couch, the information book was very sticky (not cleaning agent sticky but gross sticky), the hot tube had a large amount of hair on the intake that was unfortunately found. Needless to say we only got in it once. The shower heads where all cakes in calcium build up. All in all we had a bad time at the cabin. Although Gatlinburg was fun.

Overall good/fair for few days

Cabin was good and clean. I prefer bathrooms and hot tub to be cleaner (there was a smell in all bathrooms, but not from the bleach, something else). Overall good location, fair price for family vacation. The only thing that didn't work on the day of arrival was Wifi, so I had to wait another day or so...but once fixed, it was good for small stuff, but not for streaming.
