5 Bedroom Cabin in Gatlinburg with Home Theater close to Rocky Top Sports comple

This is a 3600 square foot log cabin located in the Golf Creek area of Cobbly Nob in Gatlinburg,Tn. We have a fantastic view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is a creek at the edge of the property running through the golf course, providing a very relaxing sound. There are 3 decks for enjoying the views.

The top floor contains the kitchen, open living area, and two bedrooms (king and queen beds). All the bedrooms are separated for privacy and each has its own private bathroom. There is a 42' flat screen TV with HD and an electric fireplace in the living area. The are two dining tables, enough to seat 10-12 easily. The master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet and huge bathroom with jetted tub and shower. There is a flat screen 32' HD tv in master bedroom. The utility room contains a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. The hot tub is on the front deck on this level.


The second floor is the deluxe game room containing a full size pool table, foosball, and ping pong (table tennis). There is an electric fireplace in the game room. There are two separated bedrooms, each with private baths. The king bedroom has an adjoining small bedroom with a full size bunk bed (full /full). This is great for families with children. New 32' flat screen tv in king bedroom. There is a balcony off the game room for your viewing pleasure.

The lower level is the theater. This 10' x 40' room has an 80' smart tv and DVD player. We have provided recliners for your viewing comfort. There is also a wet bar with microwave and full bathroom on this floor. A single log bed that sleeps 1 is on this level. There are two exit doors from the theater to the balcony.

This is a good example about customer expectations. The property is old and tired with miminal upkeep. Thus many of the bad reviews, however knowing this from reviews, I valued the quiet but well located aspects. Close to everything extremely spacious interior, private small outdoor smoking coutyard and it is at a very good cost. The host Paul is wonderful and walkable from train station. If you worry about scuffed floors, chipped walls or bad caulking on tub, this is not your place. I however value the basics more.Tips - key in door needs to be pulled out a smidge to work, bed is 2 singles push together, Jumbo grocery is 3 min walk. Bring cd's if you want music (think it works?), well equipped kitchen.

It was great. You can definitely sleep great at night. Very piecefull. Loved the book they had made up of rules. Read it first thing and took pictures of stuff I seen. But over all would rent it again.

This cabin was everything and more! My family and I enjoyed ourselves so much. There was enough space in which my family and I didnā€™t feel crowded. The house is beautiful with so many immensely. 10 out of 10. I look forward to booking again!

Lots of room for whatever you want! All the game stuff and movie theater for our 3 families (6 kids 7-19 yrs) 30 minute drive to get to towns but felt nice being secluded! Pool was nice/average. Hot tub was nice!

The cabin was amazing and absolutely met all of what we needed during our stay! We had 11 people total that stayed there and it was a great time! I definitely will recommend this cabin to people and keep it in mind for next time we come down to visit!

11 adults and 1 child. Plenty of room. Some of the bathroom sink drains were plugged. Bathrooms were clean. The Keurig didn't work. Grill needed cleaned. Few light bulbs needed replaced. Kitchen was well equipped. Bring your own soap and hair dryers. Yes there are bears! We saw one by our cars looking around. The place is about 30 minutes from the major attractions. It is secluded from all the noise. We had a fun week at the cabin.

Myself, husband, daughter, son in law and 3 grandchildren ages 6-12 really enjoyed our stay at Something Special while we explored Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. All the children had their own rooms and really enjoyed the game games. The theater room had issues with the speakers not working so movie time was ā€˜difficultā€™ ā€¦ lol. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and spacious deck for morning coffee although the deck furniture and grill could have used a good cleaning. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed. Communication with the owners was awesome. We definitely would stay here again if we were vacationing in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! We had a large group of family/friends with ages ranging from 1 year old to 89! We loved the location and it felt a lot more private compared to some of the past rentals we have stayed in. The only downside to our stay was that the hot tub deck was being repaired so we were not able to use it, but the host did apologize and let us know ahead of time. Parking can be a little tight but we managed to make it work for all 4 of our vehicles. The beds and couches were all VERY comfortable! The cabin wasn't necessarily dirty but there were a few areas that seemed like they had been rushed through or just overlooked with cobwebs, dirty mirrors/windows, and dirt/dust in the window sills. The listing was definitely accurate. We had the best time and would stay here again!

We had a great time at this cabin, which was perfect for a large extended family with children going to Dollywood for a couple days. Most of us went to Dollywood which was about a 35 min drive. We passed McDonaldā€™s on the way for breakfast which was convenient. There were close local restaurants for easy pizza and other options for dinner. The house was great! Perfect amount of space for all of us, great views, and very clear communication with the host. We will definitely be back!

This cabin exceeded all expectations. It was spacious, homey, unique, and offers beautiful scenery of the mountains. The host did great to open this home with everything we needed. I definitely would recommend staying here if you have a large family.

I had a great time with my family but there were a few minor issues with cleanliness, but 2 major issues that I couldnā€™t get resolved, since I didnā€™t realize that the property owners stayed 3 hours away, which is what I was told after I reached out. The 1st was not being able to use the hot tub since it was locked upon arrival, and the next day once we got back from our time out, it was unlocked but there were no lights or bulbs in the lights so it was pitched dark on the porch and we couldnā€™t use the hot tub. The 2nd big issue was the toilet in the master bedroom that had the jetted bathtub it was broken and my guests and I had to flush it with our hand by reaching inside the back. The good news is because of these issues I was given a discount after check out. I was very disappointed, since I have been to a cabin in Gatlinburg before and was really expecting the whole experience with my family of being able to use the hot tub, we had our swimsuits and everything. This was a big deal for me since it was my 50th birthday celebration and my family traveled miles to be with me and experience it. I will definitely be returning to Gatlinburg but never to this location again! I will go directly through the website like we did in previous years and stay away from private owners. FYI, the upper parking is extremely steep which is expected but it should be fixed to be smoother coming down since it scraped the bottom of the SUV. Itā€™s safer in the bottom parking area.
