"The rooms are beautifully decorated and the pub/hotel has a lovely oldie world feel to it. The surroundings were very peaceful. The service was also faultless - when we asked for a couple of things to be changed in the room it was done immediately. The Walnut Tree was excellent value for what we paid. "We booked the hotel through Expedia for a cycle event in Wincanton. The location was perfect. Our room was huge and had an external door allowing access to the exterior. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked too. All staff were pleasant and sociable to us. Would happily stay again."
