Hi Mike! Sorry about the wasps. We have a quarterly service for them to get sprayed, but noticed in the beginning of July that they were a bit out of control, so we scheduled an additional service to have them sprayed, but the company couldn't get to it until a few days after your stay. We tried the store bought killers, but it sounds like they didn't work out. Sorry that impacted your stay. But it has had the professional spray this past week and should be good to go.

Cami, Sorry to hear about your experience. Our listing specifically does not include items such as shampoos being provided because it is not something we do provide, and have never had issues with confusion on that. But we absolutely do encourage guests to bring their own hygiene supplies, so thank you for adding that recommendation for guests. My apologies that was not clear with your booking. We have cycled out many of the towels and replaced them with new ones, we will just be sure to communicate to our cleaning crew to ensure they are not cycling the old ones in - we apologize that appears to have happened during your stay. As for toilet paper, 2-ply toilet paper is always the default that is supplied (so I am confused on your claim that there was 1-ply) and there are typically 20 rolls of toilet paper left for each stay. There is a chance that our cleaning lady may not have fully stocked the toilet paper as usual, she is so thorough usually but she is also human so there is always the possibility that she did not get it fully stocked and if that is the case I apologize. We would have gladly reimbursed you for the costs or, we could have had that restocked for you during your stay if we had known that you were our and that had been communicated with us during your stay. The sink draining has been looked into and nothing was found with that and everything was running through, but drain cleaner was used on both of the upstairs sinks regardless. Again, this could have been an easy fix that we could have had taken care of during your stay if we had known there was an issue. For "dish rags" we actually have numerous sponges and a dish scrubber under the sink that guests are encouraged to use for dishes. The kitchen hand towels that are out on the counters, while they can be used for washing dishes if you choose to use them for that, are intended to be used for hand drying so it was not expected that you would need more than half a dozen of those for your stay since there were also paper towels on the counter and additional paper towels stored under the sink next to the sponges and dish scrubber. While we do provide laundry pods for guest use during the stay, we do not usually have guests doing multiple loads of laundry each day since there is a minimum of 30 towels available for guest use (and most guests reuse towels a few times, as it is a common conservation practice in the western dry states) and dozens of hand towels and wash clothes and guests can leave those behind to get washed by the cleaning crew. Typically, guests are running maybe one load of laundry if they are washing wet swimming gear or something like that so having a dozen laundry pods available for guest use has never been too few before. Again though, this is something we easily could have had restocked for you during your stay if you had shared with us that you were low/out. Additionally, there are cleaning supplies that could have been used in the bathroom under the sink in the kitchen. Again, since our cleaning crew does all of the bathroom cleaning after guests leave, guests typically do not need bathroom cleaners out in the bathrooms but we would have gladly had those cleaners pulled out for you if you had let us know you were wanting to clean the bathroom. We do struggle with guest wear and tear on the door handles and we are constantly having to tighten them. They are a simple fix for us, so we made sure to take care of this after reading your comments. As for the appliances you mentioned, we have tested all of them and they have been used by other guests prior to and after your stay and we cannot find anything that appears to be a "short" as they are all operating well. Hopefully the fact that there are 3 different griddles and 7 different crock pots helped you overcome the difficulty you appear to have experienced with one of each of those appliances. This cabin is our second home and we spend a significant amount of time there, and were there just a week prior to your stay. We work hard to keep it as a nice place for people to vacation to while we are not there, and we diligently work to keep things replaced and updated so they can not only be enjoyable for us, but for our guests as well. We use the same kitchen appliances and towels that are there for the guests and we work to update and replace things as they come to need it. In your future visits to Bear Lake, I hope you find time to relax and kick up your feet so you can let the property host take care of things like laundry and cleaning the bathrooms after you depart :) Thanks for staying with us.
