Our stay was a mixed bag - the views were beautiful, location of the property is great, the furniture was comfortable - however, it was obvious that the owners don't invest much into providing amenities needed for the amount of people the property says it accommodates.
They provided one travel size bar soap for the bathrooms and hand soap - so be sure you bring your own bar soap for showering! The bath towels & hand towels are all old and dingy grey. They only provided one-ply toilet paper and not nearly enough for a house of 22 people for a week - so we had to buy toilet paper and paper towels two days in. The bathroom sink upstairs doesn't drain. They left only a couple dish rags and hand towels for the kitchen, which was difficult to work with because we had 22 people in and about the place washing hands a lot. The door handles on every door are loose and difficult to lock/unlock when using. The kitchen appliances; electric griddle and one crock pot specifically both had shorts in them and they did not work well enough to cook with. There were no cleaning supplies in the bathrooms at all, so we struggled to keep things tidy during the week.
Essentially, we spent a LOT of time doing laundry to ensure we had clean towels in the kitchen and throughout the house during our stay. I have stayed in places for MUCH less money per night, that had more amenities than this place provided, so we were all quite disappointed in this and we all felt strongly that people need to be aware of what they are getting into when renting this property.
It was good that they had two washers and three dryers so we could do laundry daily, but they did not leave enough laundry soap for this purpose either. It really felt like the owners rent out this property so frequently because of it's proximity to Bear Lake, but they do not spend much money at all on the little things that make their patron's stay enjoyable.
Again, we had a nice time all things considered, but my family all agreed that if we were to choose somewhere in the area to stay again, we would choose a different place for the money we spent. It's really the little things that would make this place an excellent stay - to the owners: just spend a LITTLE more money on new towels, some regular maintenance, and enough cleaning supplies, regular size bar soap, toilet paper (2-ply) and paper towels for the guests to enjoy their stay a bit more, and you'll have an excellent property here!
