"The cottage exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a morning run from the cottage to Lake George center for coffee, then an evening fire outside with dinner on the grill. The indoor fireplace was also a lovely! I highly recommend this cottage, you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back! "

"We stayed in a tiny houss that was well equipped. Upon checking in we met Henry who works on the property. He was great, helped us get settled and answered all our questions. The site is on the Hudson and has nice views. The onsite restaurant was great too! Shout out to Rachel behind the bar and Matt our waiter."

"I am thoroughly impressed with this property. It's incredibly clean, and in a great location to be close to the lake and the restaurants/shops of Bolton Landing. We had an amazing time detaching from the stresses of reality by playing the many games provided in the home, and relaxing. If you look at older reviews, they mention the small parking space, which is valid, however, myself and my partner had no issues parking my small SUV in that space. The rustic decor added a charming touch, and the location was very convenient—just a minute down the hill to the supermarket and close to town.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the space very cozy. "To say this stay was perfect would seem exaggerated to some but to me it seems it doesn’t to it justice! Choosing the cabin as a first time “off-grid” goer was a bit intimidating but with WiFi a few walks away and the views made me forget about that. "The cozy lake house was just the get away we needed. There was so many activities including swimming, fishing kayaking, paddle board/boat. Close to lake gorge, great little deli near by!"

"We were really happy with our stay- great place and location. The staff was excellent- we called about an odd smell in the place and they immediately checked and even called a plumber to double check. So 5 stars for service. Unfortunately the smell was there the whole time which did take away from the stay a bit. Overall though excellent place and wonderful service "

"Absolutely loved this spot. Easy walk down to the beach and convenient to town. Check in process went flawless and the place was in great condition. We did have to reach out to the property team while we were there and they were super responsive. "

We had view of a pond from our doorway with a fountain with lights at night. We saw a Doe that goes by the name of Janice ( Yes the wildlife have names) who almost allowed us to pet even though I had our dog on a leash. "The General's Cabin was a wonderful place for my husband and me to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. The cabin was exceptionally clean. Melissa had thought of everything you could possibly need. Inside had a well-stocked kitchen, a great coffee/tea bar, lots of little extras to make the stay enjoyable, extra towels, blankets, pillows etc. In the bathrooms there was a basket of soaps, lotions, shampoos and even toothbrushes in case you forgot to bring your own.
