While this property did have a nice view and served as a usable home-base during my daughter's cheer competition at the convention center, there were a few issues that would keep us from renting again. First of all, the door lock system is one of the weirdest we've encountered requiring you to turn two different types of door handles simultaneously (gotta put groceries down for this one). There is no deadbolt, at all, and my wife did not feel safe with that so we piled stuff in front of the door at night. Next we move to the bubbling ceiling paint from water intrusion in the kitchen/living area and main bathroom. Upon arrival there was a dehumidifier unit sitting on the kitchen counter with a hose pointed down the drain of the sink. I understand the use of a dehumidifier in that climate, but was not expecting it or where it was located, with no instructions for its use. Other issues: the main bathroom toilet handle falls off, kitchen faucet is very loose and wobbles all over, there are no spatulas and nothing that I would consider a knife, so bring your utensils (odd for a vrbo), ran out of toilet paper day 1, fireplace also does not function (it looks cool lit up but throws an error code and won't heat). Lastly, nearly every drawer is a junk drawer having the most random things from the owner or other patrons' left-behind junk. All combined, it feels as though you are stepping into a unique fixer upper opportunity begging for your attention as a handyman (not vacation).
