Newly Renovated Historical Galveston Home - 8 min walk to beach!

Being less than 10 blocks to a relaxing beach in multiple directions, this newly renovated home located in the Galveston Historic Lost Bayou District and will be perfect for beach enthusiasts and those looking to seek out the activities in Galveston.

THE SPACE – LIVING ROOM / KITCHEN & DINING:

Walking into this 2-bedroom home, you'll be greeted by a very comfortable living area with plenty of seating and light for your family to gather. Sink into the leather couch after a long day or watch the hottest game on the included smart tv!

Adjacent to the living room, there's a splendid dining area and full kitchen that has all the stainless-steel appliances one could ask for including a full refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and stove, as well as a Keurig for those mornings when you need a boost. We’ve also included some k-cups so that you don’t have to run out for them your first day. Here you’ll additionally find an outside porch and stairwell that leads you to the captivating back yard.

Past the kitchen is the full bathroom, half bathroom, and bedrooms.

THE SPACE – BEDROOMS, BATHROOMS

The master bedroom includes one queen poster bed with a view of the backyard, along with a ceiling fan to keep you cool and relaxed. There’s even an extra chair for those times you’d want to steal away in a good book. The second bedroom provides two queen size beds for extra guests to spread out. There’s plenty of natural light in here too as well as a nice-sized closet to hide add any clothes or extra belongings to. No need to bring linens either, we have you covered on that.

There is a full and half bath accessible in this home, so you have ample space to get ready for your days. The full bath includes a lovely renovated stand-up shower too so that you can wash the day away. We’ve also included a full-size washer and dryer so you can lighten your suitcase too!

THE SPACE – OUTSIDE

You will also have access to all areas of the outside of the property where there is extra seating and a small yard to relax in. Don't forget the outside shower for that pesky sand that came back with you from the beach🙂

We also provide an EV charger plugin for vehicles that need a quick charge!

There’s also a nice porch in the front for extra space to have that morning coffee.

Whether you want to enjoy your time the night before you depart for a cruise at the Galveston Cruise Terminal (twenty minutes away), enjoy a day at the beach (less than 5 minutes away), take the family over to Moody Gardens or Schlitterbahn (less than five minutes away), or just hang out at home, this location is the place to be!

A $500 dollar security deposit hold will be authorized 2 days prior and held for 7 days post stay

This location is a triplex and has three distinct available locations. For this location guests will have exclusive access and use to the top left unit marked 1703 as the address. Common areas such as back and front area could be shared by guests if other units are booked during this time.

HURRICANE SEASON
Hurricane season is approximately June 1 – November 30. If traveling during these dates, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, either through your booking provider or from another insurer, with coverage for natural disasters. While hurricanes rarely impact the Galveston area, it’s always possible, and they may impact your personal travel getting to the area. Refunds are not provided for weather-related trip delays, unless there is an evacuation order in the direct area of this property. Travel insurance can protect you from circumstances that may hinder you getting to the property, such as flight delays or cancellations.

The house is in a great location. Everything was clean and easy to access. The beds were very comfortable. The only “complaint” (and it’s not a major one- just a first world problem ) was the lack of tv’s in the bedrooms. That was an easy adjustment. We will definitely stay at this or another of their properties again.

One of the easiest stays we’ve experienced! The home is clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to our needs. We had some noisy guests downstairs and the hosts were very quick to handle the excessive noise. Storms also knocked out the WiFi for a short time later on our second evening and they were all over getting it back up. Thank you, Gareth! What would have made it better? A few more amenities and a little more information ahead of time. We needed an iron and ironing board. A handful of cleaning supplies and a few extra towels and washcloths. A broom and dustpan. A couple of blankets, a couple of throw pillows, location of the poly cart and extra trash bags, and some laundry detergent for the washing machine. Things that are simple but necessary for many guests. These are little things, but it’s often the little things that make the most impact. I still rate them five stars because they were awesome hosts and the property was very nice! Definitely worth visiting again!

Located in the historic area of Galveston, this place has easy access to the beach and The Strand. It was clean and nicely appointed, with all the accommodations you need for a lovely stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Was pleasantly surprised. This was my first rental, so I over prepared by bringing my own dishwashing liquid and the such, but they already had the necessities there. Was there with a handful of friends to celebrate my birthday and everyone had a great time. I will say that when we connected to Youtube on the TV to listen to music, it would sometimes show an error message. But most of the times that it wouldn't work was when I would try to listen to a specific artist. So it may not be the owner's issue and just an issue with the format of the person's videos or some other technically anomaly that's over my head. But for the most part, it was fine and we got to listen to most of what we wanted to.Though it's a little walk from the beach, there was never an uncomfortable amount of traffic, despite it being Easter weekend. So we mostly walked in the street with no problem to get there.There are 3 beds. One in the main room, and 2 in the other room. So great place for a little family just looking to spend the weekend near the beach. Might come with my nieces next time.Just as much freezer as there was fridge space, which was great for us, because we had something of an ice cream party and homecooking in glass tupperware we were able to cook in the oven.Nice shower.Would consider renting again.

Great location to beach, restaurants, Strand, and Seawall. Easy to find. Loved the neighborhood . Very quiet. Easy to access with instructions from host. Very well equipped with kitchen and Keurig coffee and pods .Had plenty of towels but only one wash cloth for two people for 4 days. Ceiling fan and light have only one wall switch. So if you wanted fan at night you had to stand in bed to switch light off. Rooms were large and beds were comfortable. Only one closet in one of the bedrooms. Air was cold from ac, which was niceParking was on the street but seemed ok. Front porch was nice in mornings and evenings.porch is shared with other tenants.

We have two students at Texas A&M Galveston and this was our first chance to meet them in Galveston around the holidays. We decided on a VRBO vice hotel to save money and we were not disappointed. The house was clean had all the amenities and was easy enough to find. Our only small issues that will not prevent us from using this property again was no counter space in the bathrooms and the windows were a little loose in their frames so when the wind blew the windows rattled.

The location was great, house was pretty, and the bedrooms were a generous size, and the neighborhood was quiet. Cleanliness could have been better - several clumps of dog hair, primary bedroom should have better lighting (you have to stand on the bed to reach the very short chain on the ceiling fan) and only K-cups of coffee available.

This was a great choice for our small family and pup. The decor was nice enough but not over fussy. Finishes were pet friendly so that we didn't need to be hyper vigilant about our dog's behavior ( though she's very well behaved. No credit to us. She's a golden retriever.) The beds were very comfortable ( My top priority!). It's an old remolded property that some might think a bit funky. I say "comfortable"! We hope to come again.

We had a great experience. Only complaint was it took awhile for the air conditioner to cool the house so in the day it would be hot but at night it would feel good. Other than that it was the perfect location and overall a great experience.

The neighborhood was quiet and close to attractions. We would not recommend this property for groups of more than two people. The living area and dining area were small. The only lighting in the master bedroom was a ceiling fan and you had to almost stand on the bed to reach the short fan chain. The master bedroom could benefit from more lighting and at least one bedside table. If your party has more than two people, we suggest renting both top units.

We enjoyed sitting on the front porch enjoying the view of the historical homes that line the entire block. You can get anywhere you want to go within minutes, beach, restaurants, shopping… It’s not a lot of fluff, it’s just right.

Let me start with all the good stuff first. Amazing location and so close to everything! Most of all our restaurants were within 5 minutes of us. We were able to bring our dogs with us which was a huge reason for booking with this location. It was quaint and very clean inside and had normal old house things going on like funnily spaced outlets and no TV in bedrooms which wasn’t a biggy for us. Owners were prompt with any questions I had as well. Now here is the only big issue I had with this listing about the house. It is a TRIPLEX! It is not a house just to yourself. You share the front porch with one neighbor and underneath there is another home type set up awkwardly placed in the ally. We had three different family’s in and out during our stay and with our dogs it was a huge pain to navigate potting them in the shared backyard space especially when our neighbors also had dogs. Also the backyard isn’t accessible from the interior of the home so we would have to leave out the front and go all the way around and past the bottom neighbor to potty our dogs multiple times per day. Past that shock upon arrival I ended up having a great time but would have loved for this listing to have been up front in its setup of the home. For anyone without pets I think it’s a great location! For dog owners looking to rent be aware it’s going to be more chores than if you were to rent a private home.

Took my family to Galveston to celebrate Christmas by the coast. The house was perfect! It was clean, beds were comfortable, neighborhood was nice; location was close to everything we wanted to do. If the weather had cooperated, we would've walked to the local pub - such a cool place. The only reason I did not give 5 stars (and this is my first time not to; I love VRBO rentals) is because we didn't get check in info until after 4pm; we got to town at 3:30 and patiently waited to gain access to the house. We cooked every morning, the kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots, pans, baking sheets but no pot holders, trivets and only 2 kitchen towels. Problem was easily solved at Dollar Tree. Considering these are the only things that could've been better, it's not a big issue after the fact. The owner responded to all my messages immediately, so communication was good. I definitely would recommend this house to anyone visiting Galveston and looking for a centrally located rental.
