Dancing Mermaid, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Sleeps 8, Pet friendly

This 2 bedroom/2 bath offers Coastal Shabby Chic decor that is comfortable and relaxing. The unit sleeps 8 with 2 King beds, a daybed & trundle, and a comfy queen sleeper sofa. Guests will also enjoy the 55" Ultra 4K Smart TV & DVD player in the living room, free secure WiFi, & DishTV. There's a fully stocked kitchen...complete with dinnerware for both inside dining or patio dining. A full-size pantry, large side-by-side refrigerator and full-size dishwasher can easily accommodate a family gathering. A coffeemaker, toaster, blender, can opener, cork screws, various sizes of pots and pans, and cooking utensils, as well as a stock pot are all provided. Towels and sheets are provided by our partner linen service. There may be some variations in furnishings or decor since pictures were taken.

***Construction is ongoing at the Maravilla. THE ACTUAL UNIT IS NOT UNDER CONSTRUCTION! ***

The property has wonderful amenities to discover and enjoy while staying at Dancing Mermaid. Three pools (one of which is heated), a hot tub, poolside grills, picnic tables, chaise loungers and poolside seating...as well as a volleyball area...all in a relaxing tropical setting. Additional outdoor activities include ping-pong and bean bag toss. There's free internet in the lobby and an exercise room overlooking the Gulf.

Due to the ongoing construction and in the interest of Safety, the Maravilla business office will be located in unit 121. This is where you will need to go to pay your parking.
A parking fee must be paid to Maravilla office upon arrival. The office does not accept cash. Parking Rules and prices are as follows:
1) Parking Rates will be set at $10.00 per car per day PLUS Sales tax
2) Trailers (Motorcycle) will be charged the same rate as cars and are limited to special event weekends such as Biker Rally Weekend. No other time are trailers of any sort allowed to be parked at Maravilla.
3) Per day rates will be capped after $70.00 per 30 day time period, and the per day rate will start over again on the 31st day.

Galveston is an amazing and fun community! There are so many different things to do and see...there truly is something for everyone. Within walking distance of Dancing Mermaid, you'll find go-carts and miniature golf, fishing and dining at Jimmy's on the Pier, batting cages, and our local movie theater. Moody Gardens Golf Course is located nearby, as is the entire Moody Gardens experience and our world-famous waterpark, Schlitterbahn. In town, enjoy one of many fabulous restaurants that offer everything from fine dining to international cuisine to some of the best burgers around. If shopping is your thing, visit The Strand and Postoffice where quaint shops and art galleries abound. You won't want to miss Mod Coffeehouse or Hey, Mikey's Ice Cream! The Grand 1894 Opera House offers some of the best entertainment and shows in Texas, featuring headliners from across the country, as well as an historic setting for live theatre. And, we love our festivals and special events here in Galveston! Mardi Gras, Lone Star Biker Rally, Dickens on the Strand, and the numerous triathlons, marathons and walk-a-thons are popular events throughout the year. Bird watching, kayaking, and fishing of all kinds round out the many outdoor activities enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike.

We welcome our guests and work diligently to make their experience at Dancing Mermaid memorable. However, we only rent to adults over the age of 25 and families. A photo copy of identification of main renter is required prior to arrival of stay. Maravilla is one of only a few "pet friendly" properties in Galveston. Home is dog friendly for up to 2 pets. $100.00 non-refundable fee for the 1st pet and $50 non-refundable fee for the 2nd pet. 25lb limit. Guest must contact our office prior to arrival to make arrangements for payment of pet fee and/or signature on a pet addendum. We do ask for a pet deposit and that all property rules regarding pets are strictly followed. Guests' "Bucket List" of suggested items to bring will be provided upon reservation confirmation.

All fees and services are subject to 15% tax.

All around outstanding unit. If i had to nickpick anything; need more silverware (7 forks in all), need measuring cups (only had 3 teaspoon cups), and lastly the ceiling fan in the master was a little noisy. Tother1000 were great.little

Check in was amazing. The lady we checked in with gave us a lot of tips for our trip and even took the time to walk us to our room. She was wonderful. We had a tiny mishap during our stay and had to contact the actual rental company. They replied very quickly to resolve said mishap. The condo was BEAUTIFUL and very clean. The pool was Perfect. Several people swam but not the crowded feeling. We would Definitely stay here again next time.

This was our first time staying in Galveston, and we wanted somewhere with a pool, ocean views and our own kitchen. The Dancing Mermaid certainly delivered!! Itā€™s a beautiful condo, so well decorated and nice and clean! There were some Renoā€™s happening, that I knew about - but that really didnā€™t bother us, nor interfere with our getaway! The beds were sooo comfy!! We slept like babies!! There are TONS of amazing restaurants within a 5-15 minute drive. Our favourite was Doc Hollidaysā€¦. Delicious food and even better drinks!

Such a wonderful place! Beautiful and relaxing! The facility is going through some renovations, but still great. When we stepped inside everyone was so impressed and felt at home. We all slept great, which usually doesnā€™t happen. The office managers and staff were very helpful. We all needed a break from the rush of every day and Dancing Mermaid was just what we needed! Overall this property is adorable, clean, and cozy with all the amenities. I would definitely stay here again. The floor wasnā€™t as clean as I would have wanted. I sent an email about it, and with in the hour they sent three people to clean the floors. The owner of the property called and apologized. She made it right with good communication! The large balcony overlooking the large pool and palm trees was nice! You can see the ocean from a far distance but, I wouldnā€™t necessarily call it an ocean view.

Comfortable and quiet. Very impressed with the overall look and comfort of the place. Facilities were good. Workout area could use some attention. Pool area was cleaned daily and we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Loved how the apartment sat back away from the road and was protected from the wind and car noise. Kids loved the wildlife that hanged around the pool area and the birds made for a very tropical experience.

My 2 sisters and I, along with our mother, just spent 3 nights in this BEAUTIFUL spacious condo with an amazing balcony overlooking the pool with view of the ocean. It was VERY clean and updated with stylish decor and furnishings. It was nice to have a full size washer and dryer. Great location! This condo was much more than we expected and we have already started planning our next stay at Dancing Mermaid.

The owner's property was exceptional, decorated beautifully, the beds were comfortable, the condo was in perfect shape. We loved the outside patio it was large and spacious and great for reading and catching some sun and having a meal. Love this property and will rent again.

The place was beautiful and just as described in the pictures. The fully stocked kitchen was a huge help. There were board games, plenty of regular and pool towels, and beach toys for kids. We fully enjoyed our stay. The only changes I would make would be the shower curtains ( I think it's time for new ones), a good mopping of bathroom floors (we found hair when we entered), and the tub was very slow to drain. Other than those minor things, I would definitely stay again.

Fun, super clean condo. Pool was a nice break from the salty windy beach! But the condo is still close enough to load up and cross the street to the beach! Itā€™s a ways from the pier so traffic wasnā€™t bad! But still an easy enough drive to the pier.

The unit was exactly as it was described. It was updated, well appointed, spacious, nicely furnished with a large balcony and great views. The complex itself could use some updating but the pool area was great.
