This is a luxurious ground-floor apartment in the elegant Villa Vallone. The apartment can sleep 4 people in comfort and makes an ideal base for friends or family who want to explore the Salento Peninsula, with its ancient towns and stunning beaches.

The villa is set in wonderful gardens with lush lawns, dotted with orange and pine trees and a beautiful fountain. The entrance is through the conservatory and leads to the spacious main living area. The decor is an attractive combination of contemporary furniture that blends with the traditional architecture of vaulted ceilings and archways. This living room is furnished with large sofas, armchairs and a flat-screen TV. The large and airy kitchen includes a dining area and double glass doors that lead out onto a terrace with a second dining table for meals in the garden. The working part of the kitchen is fitted with new units and well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom, with an attractive vaulted ceiling, has a double bed, wardrobe, doors onto the terrace, closet and an en suite bathroom. The bedroom has a seating area with a sofa, where guests can relax in private.
Bedroom 2: This airy bedroom has a double bed, doors out to the terrace, a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom.

Bathrooms
Bathroom 1: The en suite bathroom for the master bedroom in the first includes a shower, basin, bidet and WC.
Bathroom 2: The second en bathroom is appointed with a sunken bathtub, basin, bidet and WC.
Extra: There is a separate cloakroom with a WC and basin.

Location
The villa is just a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Galatina, renowned for its magnificent churches, Baroque architecture and palaces. Guests can explore the town’s many attractions on foot with stops at one of the many cafés and bars. Not to be missed is the Ascalone pastry shop (6-minute drive), which has been serving the authentic and mouth-watering Pasticciotto Ascalone since 1740. For more delicious local food, the weekly market takes place every Thursday morning and is well worth a visit.

In the centre of the Salento peninsular, the villa is 25 to 30 minutes from either coast. The sandy beach of Santa Marina al Bagno (25 minutes) makes a wonderful day out. The port of Gallipoli (the Beautiful City), which was founded by Greek settlers thousands of years ago, is just 30 minutes away. Here you will find fascinating historical sites, ancient city walls and some of the best fish in Salento.

Lecce (30 minutes), the “Florence of the South”, is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

The nearest airport is Brindisi, 50 minutes away.
