"It's usually booked out as individual rooms as each room as a code lock on it. However as a whole house, although sufficient in general with all the facilities available, the lounge area was not really big enough for a family. There is only a sofa which we managed to squeeze 3 on to and a single armchair, so we had to buy two camping chairs as although plenty of garden chairs they weren't comfortable all evening. Lidl was right next door which was great as we just popped in for what we needed,...

"We stayed for one night as we had tickets to see Texas at Lincoln Castle and wished we had booked for longer. It's perfect for 2 people or 2 couples, the decor is lovely, it's spotlessly clean and well placed for local pubs etc, with a taxi to the castle just 8. The beds were very comfy and our host left lots of bread etc as the co-op next door is closed at the moment. A really relaxing place to stay just four miles from the city."

"Got to the property and found someone living there and it wasn't the host. Couldn't get in touch with the supposed host. Contacted vrbo who were as useful as a fart in a spacesuit. Had to then urgently find other accommodation which thankfully we did through a reliable source. Booking. Com. Had contacted vrbo two days before the booking to raise concerns and was told everything was fine and i shouldn't worry. Overall experience was horrendous. "I had made a call prior to check in to request parking, advised to get there early and ask at desk. This was incorrect and there were no spaces available. At 15.12, after standing in a queue for over 15 mins I am told my room was not ready, the manager came out and was totally disinterested in me as a customer, but found one that would be in another 5 mins. No apology what's so ever!! The staff member said I hope it will be better next time, to which I replied "I doubt there will be a next time" When I went to dinner my choice, battered haddock wasn't available, i think on a Saturday early evening this is totally unacceptable. The shower screen had black mould along the bottom which had been sealed in with sillicon, the kettle lid was broken making a refil almost impossible and the hairdryer had no nozzle to style my hair.. Resulting in "I won't be booking with you again". Regards Sue Smith"
