Villa Funchal Belair, a luxurious 4-bedroom villa, boasts a stunning location within a mature garden featuring an expansive heated pool, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Funchal town, the cruise harbor to the east, and the sea along with the cliffs of Cabo Girão to the west. This elegant villa is thoughtfully designed across four levels, with the open-plan lounge and dining area on the lower floor leading to the front terrace and garden. The fully equipped kitchen and breakfast room occupy one side, offering access to the garden and pool, while the ground floor bedroom and adjoining shower room are situated on the other side.



Ascending to the first floor, you'll find the Master Bedroom, complete with a dressing area and an ensuite shower room, all while enjoying magnificent sea views. Additionally, this level features a second open-plan sitting/leisure area equipped with a PlayStation 4, leading to a spacious front and side terrace where you can relax on sunbeds or admire the spectacular vistas of Funchal and the sea.



Continuing upwards, a half floor above houses the final two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. These bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom and each have private balconies that offer stunning sea views.



The villa's pièce de résistance is its roof terrace, providing a 230-degree view of the bay, Funchal town, and the ocean, making it an ideal spot for watching New Year's Eve fireworks. Here, you'll also find a lovely hot tub, perfect for relaxation while savoring a glass of your favorite beverage.



The large mature garden surrounding the villa is an idyllic space for peaceful reading and contemplation, offering sweeping views of the town and sea. The west garden is dedicated to the expansive pool area, optionally heated, complete with a solarium and sun loungers. An impressive built-in barbecue and outdoor dining facilities make this an ideal spot for al fresco dining. Few villas in Madeira can rival the offerings of Villa Funchal Belair.



Conveniently located, this villa is only 600 meters from the nearest supermarket, with the largest shopping mall and hypermarket on the island just one kilometer away. Funchal town center is a mere 4 kilometers away, easily accessible via public transport or reasonably priced taxi. Additionally, the motorway entrance is less than a kilometer away, facilitating exploration of the island and Levada walking in Madeira.



The villa offers four meticulously designed bedrooms, each with its own unique charm. The first-floor Master Bedroom is a sanctuary of luxury with a king-size double bed, ensuite shower room, dressing area, and air-conditioning, all complemented by spectacular sea views. The second-floor features two more bedrooms: one with a king-size double bed and the other with two single beds, both sharing a Jack and Jill shower room. Each of these bedrooms has built-in wardrobes, air-conditioning, and private balconies overlooking either the swimming pool or the garden.



The ground floor bedroom, also offering enchanting sea views, is furnished with a king-size double bed and features an ensuite shower room, wardrobe, and air-conditioning. The villa boasts four well-appointed bathrooms, including an ensuite to the Master Bedroom on the first floor, a shared ensuite for bedrooms 2 and 3 on the second floor, and a ground floor bathroom. Additionally, there's a convenient bathroom by the swimming pool.



The villa's ground floor hosts an open-plan lounge and dining area with seating for eight guests. It's equipped with a flatscreen cable TV, Bluetooth speaker, sound center, and air-conditioning, all while providing mesmerizing sea views. The dining area comfortably seats eight guests and opens to the front and side terraces and the garden.



The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a 4-ring electric induction cooker, built-in electric oven and microwave, American fridge/freezer with ice and water dispenser, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, espresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and hand-held liquidizer. This well-designed kitchen also opens to the garden, providing easy access to the swimming pool and solarium.



For those seeking entertainment, the villa features a leisure/games room on the first floor, complete with a flatscreen cable TV and a PlayStation 4 (please bring your own games). This room opens to the front and side large first-floor terrace, offering superb views of Funchal, the cruise ship port, and sea views to the south and west. The terrace is equipped with two sun loungers, a table, and chairs for relaxation.



The crowning glory of Villa Funchal Belair is its second-floor terrace, which offers unmatched vistas of Funchal town, the marina, and the cruise ship harbor, accompanied by a 230-degree surround sea-view. This terrace also houses a hot tub for two, creating an ideal space for relaxation and unwinding while taking in the incredible scenery.



Outdoors, the villa features a large mature garden with lawns, hedges, trees, flower beds, and a 180-degree view of the town and sea. The spacious solarium offers sun loungers, an outdoor dining table for eight, a fixed 4-meter-wide parasol, and a 3-meter sun umbrella. The highlight of the outdoor area is the very large heated swimming pool.



The swimming pool, rectangular in shape, measures 12.50 meters in length, 7.50 meters in width, and has a depth ranging from 0.90 meters to 1.40 meters. Pool heating is optional and comes at a cost of 150€ per week for maintaining a temperature of 24ºC, payable in cash upon arrival. An additional charge of 50€ per week applies for each additional degree, up to a maximum of 26ºC. Requests for pool heating should be made at least one week in advance or, if requested after arrival, the minimum charge of one week applies from the time the heating is turned on.



Other amenities include a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, and ironing board. The villa also provides a carport for two cars and secure parking facilities for an additional two cars, though a hire car is recommended for convenience. Guests can stay connected with free Wi-Fi available throughout the villa. Public transport options are abundant, with a bus stop located just 250 meters away and reasonably priced taxis available from the nearest rank, located 1 kilometer away. The nearest facilities, including a supermarket, café, and restaurant, are a mere 600 meters away, while the largest hypermarket on the island, a bank, pharmacy, and other shops, are only 1 kilometer away.



Cleaning and linen change are provided every 7 days, ensuring a comfortable and refreshing stay. All linen and towels, including towels for the swimming pool, are provided, with the exception of linen for a baby cot, which guests should bring themselves. Villa Funchal Belair is certified clean and safe by the Portuguese Tourist Office.



For booking, please note that the advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy, with additional charges for extra guests. A security deposit of 300€ is required via credit card prior to check-in. Additionally, pool heating is available for up to 250€.

Fabulous villa

Amazing sized villa which was immaculately clean. Great space for 3 couples to share. The pool was fabulous, large and fun to use. It was great there was shower gel left in the bathrooms and sufficient dishwasher and laundry tabs to last the week. Hot tub was not working which was a shame. The bank up to the villa is REALLY steep so you need to be cut to walk it. Esmeralda bar on roundabout off main road was a lovely stop for a drink /lunch on way to supermarket Would have been really helpful if there had been more information on local buses / timetable / where they go to. There are not many amenities in walking distance so more information on those would have been good.
