The Beach Bux cottage has easy access to the beach and is situated one lot back. For a fishing trip or a small family, Beachbux is ideal. Your family would love the cozy and well-equipped Beach Bux as a vacation spot. All guests must bring Paper goods, towels, and linens. Beachbux is furnished and decorated according to the owner's preferences. The following are provided: coffee maker, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, glasses, mattress pads, pillows, and blankets or comforters. Additional Fees apply for reservations, partial stays, taxes, and insurance.
In case of cancellation or change in any reservation, no refund will be made by Dolphin Realty or the owners we represent unless the unit is re-rented and confirmed by the newer reservation for the cancelled period. All cancellations and changes are subject to a $75.00 charge, reservation fee; Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance premium, Property Protection and Credit Card Processing Fee if applicable. Please notify our office of any changes as soon as possible. No refunds will be issued due to lack of fish or inclement weather. The offered Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance covers many unforeseen and emergency situations.

  • "Yin and Yang" I was at Cape Hatteras last month to try and capture a sight of one of our heavenly visitors in the night sky - Comet Catalina. The comet is somewhat unique since this would be it's only ever visit to the inner Solar System before being ejected to interstellar space forever. It was by no means an easy target to locate and photograph in the night sky especially for someone who's never done that before. But this is not about my attempts at capturing Comet Catalina (although I did manage to view and capture it). After I was done looking at the comet, I settled by the beach next to this pier, one of my favorite places on the North Carolina Outerbanks, to hear the ocean's mesmerizing soundtrack. I still had about 2 hours to go before sunrise and so I was just sitting and enjoying the unseasonably warm winter in December and just looking at the stars, Venus, Jupiter and Mars in the night sky. I suddenly noticed this big cloud about 5 minutes in streaking just below bright Venus. On a hunch, I decided to capture an image to see what the cloud looked like and a short 15 second later, I saw the start of what turned out to be one of the most perfect sunrises I have borne witness to. The cloud had started to just pick up the first rays from the sun, with about an hour and a half to go before sunrise. I love the juxtaposition of every single element in this image. The fading of the night sky and stars with Venus shining valiantly as the sun comes back to herald the start of another day, the stretch of unbroken cloud over the hurricane damaged pier and the sheer beauty created in an otherwise damaging act of Mother Nature (the hurricane, not the sunrise :) ). This duality is what inspired the title of the image. If you're near the NC coast, this location is a must stop. It is close to the town of Buxton and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The location is fantastic, especially for the price. It was nice to be able to walk out the front door and be at the beach. It also sleeps plenty of people for the size of the house which is nice for a larger family. That being said, there are definitely a few maintenance issues that could be squared away.

In desperare need of Updates

We arrived just a couple of days after the road had opened up to Frisco after Hurricane Dorian had passed through. We had begged the Dolphin Realty to refund us so they could have more time to make sure everything was ok and have time to clean the property properly. We were yelled at and received a flat out refusal. When we pulled onto the property, there were bags of garbage under the deck and trash everywhere. I immediately called to let them know and was told... and I quote... "Not today, but maybe tomorrow they would come clean it up"... tomorrow never happened and when we left, there was STILL trash everywhere. The house had NOT been cleaned. There were dirty footprints in the shower, dirty dishes in the cabinets, biting flies coming out of the sink, stuff just thrown in the closets and sand everywhere!! I understand that a hurricane had just hit, but can't you at least sweep the sand off the deck and front door?? The mosquitos were insatiable and would attack as soon as you stepped outside! (PSA- Dont visit the OBX without bug spray!!!) Upon checkout, we were expected to clean the house. So, we had the task of cleaning dishes that were left from previous renters. Many, many updates are desperately needed. Toilets wont flush properly, shower heads need to be replaced, washing machine sounds like it will fall apart at any moment, furniture is terrible and extremely dated. We were very unhappy with the overall experience with Dolphin Realty and this house. Needless to say... We will never use this company or stay in this house again.
