great place ,we drive to/on the beach so we were looking just for a place to stay. this place is nice and is close to the airport beach access. Stairs (steep) could be a problem to eldely or injured. Kitchen has everthing one would need to prepare meals. Place is semi-updated and very clean

Nice, spacious home, good for a relaxing trip

We had a nice time, the only challenges were the grill ignitor didn't work and I had to get an external grill light from Vacasa. Location is good, short drive to the beach.

We enjoyed a quick getaway for a couple of nights. House was clean and had plenty of room for family of 4 plus 2 pups. Screened in porch was nice to enjoy the weather. Kitchen had plenty of cookware- all we needed.

Nice Little Home

Good price and location on Hatteras island. Only small amenities that would have been helpful would be a dishwasher. Also no central AC, only window units and only one TV. For the price and location though, I’m not complaining! It was nice and comfy for my family with younger kids it worked out just fine. Would stay again in the future.

A very comfy beach house!

This beach house was so comfortable! There isn’t central air, which concerned us at first, but four window units had the home a wonderful temperature the whole time. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were lovely. The complimentary shower soaps smelled really good. There was a really great hose in the front for getting the sand off after beach play. And it was close to our favorite local bookstore- Buxton Village Books. This is a great place to stay!

The house was a little older but very clean and had everything we needed. The just was great and checked in a couple times to make sure everything was ok. The beach was fantastic, a short drive and not crowded. Plenty of options to eat out, the Froggy dog was our favorite casual dining. A nice clean and quiet place to stay!

Love the keyless check in. WiFi was great. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was older, but clean. Could have used a few more things, like measuring cups and a blender. Master bath was huge, but needs towel bars! There is only one hook by the tub to hang a towel. Overall, this property met all our needs and made for a lovely week. Oh, and the grandkids LOVED the Ms Pac-Man machine!

Nice 3 bdrm home. Clean, great wi-fi, right on Rt 12 easy to find, and quiet area. Bring your own hair dryer, s & p ( and any other cooking spices). Enjoy!

Great First Visit to OBX

Cottage was very clean and very well decorated. No complaints and only one recommendation. A TV in the bedrooms would be a nice touch. I recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone wanting to get away from high tourist areas.

Fun place to sat on the quiet side of the island

The rental met our needs perfectly and even had a video game machine throwback that was fun for the kids. The unit contained almost everything we needed and less traffic than the other side of Hatteras.

Best stay on hatteras

Was our first time visiting and will not be our last. The house was big and spacious, had plenty of room for our family of 5. The teens loved the loft and beds were so comfortable. Very clean house and home owners were not overly present but were helpful when needed and even dropped of extra linens. The house is very conveniently located a short drive from town and the Beach but is far enough away to be a quiet little retreat. Absolutely loved our stay❤️

Short vacation

The house was great and clean. The only issue I had was the next door neighbors dogs would come over whenever we tried to take our dog out to use the bathroom. His dogs are friendly but big, and we have a little dog.

Great for a quick weekend trip

This was a cute little house. Enough room for our group. Nice screened in back porch. Loved that it is pet friendly. Game area is large enough for an extra large crate and the master bedroom had room for a large pet bed on either side. Our Daughter loved the twin bed loft area that was her favor little hide a way. Would absolutely come back.

It was a lot more house than I expected for the money. Quiet place, neighbors dogs came to visit (super nice) and they played with my dogs. So if they come don’t be intimidated😁

We loved this home! It was a cute little place. Plenty of stuff to keep the kids busy. There is an adorable dog that came over every day! His name is Sailor. But be where he will steal your water bottles and shoes!!

Great Value

Spacious 2 bedroom with twin loft. There are 4 window A/C units: Bedrooms (2), Open Loft (1) and Kitchen area (1). Very hot when arrived because maids leave units off, but surprisingly COOL after a some time. Temp was very comfortable and I'm an A/C gal. Towels provided and Bed Made...awesome! Highly recommend.

The house is a bit dated, with stained carpeting and scuffed walls, but furniture is comfortable and AC window units work well, if a bit noisy. The kitchen and master bath were dirty with food debris and hair, the kitchen counters, sink, and microwave all needed to be scrubbed before use, and there was thick dust on the blinds in the matter bedroom. Bath toiletries ran out within two showers. When locating the propeety, be advised that the driveway does not extend to the street, so you'll need to pull in next door and cut across the lawn. I would not go back, but if you decide to give it a try, book directly with Vacasa and save the VBRO fee.

Met our needs, but a few drawbacks for pets

The property has some opportunities for upgrade, but overall it met our satisfaction regarding cleanliness, layout, accommodations, etc. We appreciated having a pet-friendly option. Note that it is right on Highway 12 (busy traffic!) and no fence, so please keep pets on a leash. The neighbor has two dogs that appear to be permanently kenneled, and no owner interraction. We never saw them out of the kennel and they barked a lot for attention, although they seemed friendly. As a dog owner this was disheartening. Clearly not a reflection of the property we stayed at, but it was tough to watch them kept this way all week long. My husband loved the fishing table and we both enjoyed Pac-Man!

Restful Week

Unfortunately, the first night of our trip began with arriving at the destination and not having our entry code. I searched all email communications, text communications, and finally called the 1-800 to get the information. Initially, the staff was not able to help me. I downloaded the Vacasa app where I was told the info would be - even though I made my reservation on VRBO - and checked the VRBO app. None of these areas had the entry code. After 30 minutes sitting in the driveway, someone finally reached out on the phone with the code. Sadly, no effort was made to reimburse us for the time and frustration. The remainder of our week was pleasant. We cooked many of our meals in the home and it had adequate dishes and equipment to do so - the gas grill was great. The home is older and has a/c window units to keep the bedroom areas cool as well as fans throughout and we were comfortable. The outlets are somewhat wonky where they've tried to modernize them and so our plugged in items wouldn't always stay in the outlet. The Pacman game unit was a hit for our family ... just a nice, classic to return to in our down times. The table was great for board games. There is a Roku TV that we utilized for family movies and shows. The house is not far from many beaches and the Hattaras Lighthouse. There is a pool in the next town up that the rental has access to ... it is at the Vacasa office and so you don't need any sort of HOA pass - but it was freezing! All in all, good.
