"Property has been upgraded downstairs and the restaurant and bar area are lovely as is the outside courtyard. When you go upstairs it’s apparent that an upgrade is still required. Our room - 3 - overlooked a very busy main road and the secondary double glazing did nothing to keep the constant traffic noise at bay. There are two windows in that’s room. "Decor is rather dated. We didn't mind too much. TV. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Complimentary bottles of water,tea/coffee bags, biscuits replenished every day. The bedding and towels were clean, white and fresh. Breakfast was lovely, great choice. I thought it was going to be a buffet style but the cooked food was served at the table. "This is a great venue if you wish to be off grid lifestyle. For us it didn’t quite meet our needs as our dog couldn’t manage the staircase & although we thought we had a shower and separate bathroom we only had a bath. Hot water is at a premium here we found & lacking in water pressure. But truly a great venue if you wish to unplug, & chill. One recommendation I would make, to help dogs relax. "Great location, but room was in poor condition (mouldy tiles, discoloured toilet seat, cracks & holes in the walls) & not clean. If you have mobility issues, there are lots of steps.Breakfast available if arranged the previous day. Free parking on the road, but spaces are taken quickly"
