Vacation Home Located Steps from North Shore Beach, 10 Minutes Away From Golf

Dunes Away Beach House really is the ultimate location for the perfect PEI beach vacation. 350 feet of private sandy beachfront on the Island's famous north shore are yours to enjoy and with more than 30 acres of mature forest behind the house, seclusion and privacy are assured.

Constructed in 2012, every detail of the more than 2000 square foot house has been custom designed for luxury and to take advantage of the amazing ocean view. Open concept living at it's best, the great room contains the kitchen, dining and living areas to comfortably bring everyone together. Wall to wall window's flood the room with light and the soaring vaulted ceilings give an expansive and airy feel to the space. The living area is centered around the massive one-of-a-kind Island Stone fireplace and the large dining table will comfortably accommodate the entire group. For the chefs (and general food lovers!) the well-equipped kitchen features custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a huge island for food preparation and socializing while taking full advantage of the ocean view. Finally, there is a screened-in room off the kitchen for barbecuing.

The master bedroom suite is separate from the other bedrooms at one end of the house. The master features an antique queen size four poster bed and lots of windows providing great water views. The spacious master bathroom has a deep soaker tub surrounded by windows and a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom has an antique queen size four poster bed with great water views. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed and is separated from the second bedroom by the main bathroom with shower.

For the golfers in the group the championship Links at Crowbush Cove is just a 10 minute drive. Within 30 - 45 minutes you can also be teeing off at, Brudenell River, Dundarave, Eagles Glenn, Andersons Creek, Glasgow Hills, Stanhope and Green Gables golf courses.

For restaurants, activities, shopping and amenities the capital city of Charlottetown is just a 25 minute drive. Looking for fresh seafood right off the boat? Covehead Harbour is just 20 minutes away. And if a day at one of our National Parks locations is in order, Greenwich, Stanhope, Dalvay and Brackley are also just a 20 minute drive.

Close to the beach

The location of the house was great, very close to the beach, you could see and hear the waves from the living room and back bedrooms. The property was private and well maintained, it had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

A very relaxing week.

It was just my wife and I. The house was very comfortable to stay in. It was a short walk to the beach which was a nice place to walk or just sit. On our way in, we stopped at Atlantic Super Store for food. It was pretty well stocked store and saved a subsequent trip out Since we were from New Hampshire, we would not usually have Canadian dollars. We never needed them. Every place we went took a credit card which handled the conversion

Family stay in PEI, July 2024

Very nice house. Lots of space. Great kitchen. Nice patio. Nice and quiet beach (~1.0-1.5k long). ~150m walk from the house. You can hear and view the ocean from the house but you don't see the beach. Lots and lots of mosquitos right after sunset; we couldn't stay outside even though we are normally used to it. No mosquitos or bugs the rest of the day. Not close to any grocery but we knew it and planned accordingly.

Fantastic Getaway

Our visit to this piece of heaven was fantastic. The property is secluded and quiet. The beach is steps away. The amenities were just right and the back porch is beyond relaxing. One of our best vacations. Thanks to the property owners for having this space available.

Great location

It was difficult to pick a house with so many rental options but this was the right choice. We found it a good central location and easily drove to multiple towns in our one week stay. However, we did not travel any further west than Summerside. We did make it to all areas East including Eastpoint with easy drives. We did pick up groceries on the way. Most places close pretty early, around 8 pm, so it’s good to be aware of that. The home was located on a dirt road, and was immaculate, private, quiet, with the beach just over the dunes out the big open living room windows. 2/3 bedrooms also have this view. Fully stocked kitchen. Clear instructions on what we were expected to do upon check out, which was very reasonable/not cumbersome. I have no hesitation to fully recommend this home and would definitely consider staying here should I be able to return to this amazing place.

The interior house is beautiful but the exterior need care and the rosier take a lot of space. Why do not make a way directly to the beach from the house? It will be a really positive attraction.

Beautiful location!

This home is very nicely decorated! We loved our rooms. Great location, we enjoyed our walks on the beach. I would suggest that you supply the usual, salt, sugar, dish soap and laundry soap. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

French Village cottage

Well located, close to the beach, few minutes walk. The cottage is bigger than it looked, very nice and confortable. Huge kitchen with all supplies, tools that we needed. We recommend it! 😊

A wonderful vacation

The home is as advertised; all amenities are as listed; if you are looking for a quiet retreat home, this is for you; steps to a beautiful beach (which at times seems like your own) and close to major areas (eg. Charlottetown). A great vacation home overall; would go back again in future years.

Beautiful ocean front property. Home equipped with every amenity. Loved waking up to the ocean view every morning and falling asleep to the ocean view every evening. I would definitely like to stay at this house again sometime in the future.

Beautiful property/location

The Beach House is absolutely beautiful and situated on a private lot within a 5 minute walk of the ocean. The house had everything we needed. The weather during our stay was unfortunately not the best and we also had to cut our vacation short due to the oncoming storm Fiona. We nevertheless had a great relaxing time and highly recommend staying at this property.

French village holiday

This place was great. It had an extremely well stocked kitchen. I would recommend that they leave instructions for some appliances ie coffee maker and tv. There is really no accessible beach access for someone who is physically challenged. The knob for the fireplace flue needs to be updated. We did have a great vacation here.

Great holiday in this lovely house!

We had a lovely week at this property, everything the listing states and more. The kitchen is well outfitted to cook your own meals, beautiful views from every window, comfortable beds, lots of room to relax with family. We spent many hours walking and relaxing on the quiet beach out front. Would recommend this property to family & friends.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at Dunes Away! Beautiful view, soooo close to the beach (which is basically a private beach), nice open space, comfy beds and cozy set up. Looks even nicer in real life than in the VRBO listing! All the utensils (and more) that you’ll need for cooking. Near Charlottetown, PEI national park, Greenwich national park, golfing at Crowbush, to name a few. A few things to keep in mind: -the internet is not high speed and gets weaker when it’s windy or rainy- if you are planning to work from there, it’s not easy. -groceries are about 20-25 mins away (in Morell or Charlottetown), but this is common in PEI - one of the rooms does not have A/C -lots of mosquitoes, but manageable as long as you bring repellent and citronella! :) Also the norm in PEI
