"It is a charming hotel that makes you feel at home. There are just 16 rooms so it tends to be more intimate than standard resorts. Our room was number 9 on the superior floor reached by stairs. It is a cozy apartmente with room, kitchen, living room, bathroom and a small porch where you can rest while having breakfast or reading a book. The air condition is a need. The hotel is right on the beach and altough it is a public beach you are going to feel like in a private one. Just beside you have Salt & Plage Restaurant which is wonderful. There is also Roots, a ten minute walk also very good. The island is pretty expensive so expect to pay high for the meals. Taxi is also expensive.They charge 20 US for taking you and picking you up to do some shopping at the closest supermarket not 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The staff was good. They are nice but I was expecting more from the front desk. I asked about tours and the front desk employees haven't showed much effort to help me. So I did the bookings on the internet. I will specially thanks two guys who deserve a special compliment: Stanley by the pool - he was always smiling and singing. Oscar from Domenic Republic on the beach was kind and helpful. Anyway, as a complete and sincere review I would recomend the Buccaneer. We had a great and enjoyable time there."
