Silver Lining is a private 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom contemporary cottage in Fredericksburg just a few blocks from all the action on Main Street. Guests will enjoy a full kitchen complete with full size appliances and everything you need to make a meal or heat up some fabulous leftovers. After a long day of shopping, hiking, wine tours and fun you can relax in the hot tub outside on the patio under the stars. - Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Our stay was amazing! We arrived to a nice complimentary bottle of wine and Valentine's treats (which we did not ask for or order special). The theatre room was full of movie theatre snacks and candy. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked. The hot tub worked great. Customer service and communication were top notch. Overall, I could not imagine having a better VRBO experience.

Great little house off Main Street! Lots of positives about the house- clean, comfy beds, hot tub and backyard hang area. Only negatives were the door to access the house was a pain with a physical key, only having two apps to watch tv( it rained all weekend so we were forced to be inside more than we would have liked), also the oven was very difficult to figure out when we noticed the gas’s grill was very dirty and rusty. Just a few minor things but we loved the access to Main Street, restaurants and the nightlife. We will be back!

Great Stay with Some Exceptions

This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is very well-decorated and smelled nice. The available amenities helped make our trip more enjoyable. The neighborhood was quiet and dark, but also very close to everything downtown had to offer. Unfortunately, we had some issues. There was an ant infestation in the media room and the shower was not properly cleaned. We found a large hairball on the wall of the shower in a brown color that doesn't belong to either of us. Also, the bedding was extremely hot and the faucets need repair. Over we enjoyed our stay.

Just what we needed

The house was nicely decorated, comfortable, and cleaner than most places we've stayed. The location was great - very easy to manage all the places we wanted to check out. An added bonus - the neighborhood was quiet and is a wonderful area for walking!

Quick Getaway in Fredericksburg

Had a short 3 night stay in Fredericksburg. The Silver lining was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The hostess thought of everything. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and movie room with provided candy and popcorn. Will definitely stay here again.

We Loved It!

We chose this location so we could bring our dog; be close to the center of town; and enjoy a quiet few days. The property is older. For example, neither of the two bedrooms have closets. The exterior and interior and well appointed. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I checked with a blacklight when we arrived. Spotless. The bathroom had plenty of towels. It was modernized and looked terrific. Nice little things like candy, k-cups, and decorations. For us it was lovely Christmas holiday decorations.There was a kennel for a dog and two dog bowls. We brought our dog stuff, but that was a lovely gesture. We'd stay here again!

Very Nice!

The house is very cute and cozy. Lots of personal touches. Even decorated for fall. Everything you could need or want is provided. We liked that there is a private driveway, patio, and hot tub. Great location just a couple minutes from Main Street. The *only* thing I might mention is the beds need to be updated. But I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.

Great time

We loved the house, it was clean and the hot tub had privacy and much enjoyed. We are older and needed to use a out door chair to get in it. I would recommend some stairs. The front bedroom king bed was perfect. The middle king IMO needs new mattress (sunk in the middle with us both in it). The back room was a Queen didn’t use it but the bed has hard. The house is close to Main Street and easy to get too. If you have a low car getting in the driveway could be a challenge. We drive a highlander and had no issues. Property and grounds were well kept. For the hot tub bring citronella for mosquitoes, fortunately they weren’t too bad for us. We would rent this house again! Keep in mind no dishwasher-but we weren’t there to cook so we didn’t care.

31st Wedding Anniversary weekend

My husband and I had a great time. The property was clean and welcoming. Hot tub was great after a long day of walking the town. The backend of the property is a little woodsy, but great for watching the cardinals fly in and perch. One of the beds kinda sinks in the middle but it was still comfortable. The ad says two bedrooms but it actually has 3. It's very close to Main Street. Overall experience was A+. We would definitely book with them again!

Great house, poor management

My now husband and I came to stay here for our honeymoon. They were lots of critters by the front door and it definitely needs to be sprayed. Lots of bugs got in the home. Overall, the house is beautiful, and the property owners were amazing. However, we did have issues with Absolute Charm. We booked to stay 5 days. As it got closer we realized we may want to stay an extra day. While we were talking I put in for an extra day but IMMEDIATELY, and I’m talking not even 10 minutes later, I messaged to cancel the extension because we decided that we would rather save that money to use for a couple nice meals and come home. Fast forward to our wedding day. We celebrated with family and then headed home to finish packing. I get a notification that VRBO charged me for the extra day. I immediately panicked because we were not prepared for that and the charge sent me into the negative on my account. I went and looked at the app and OVER TWELVE HOURS after I told them never mind, they went ahead and charged us. After speaking on the phone trying to talk to the AC people, she simply told my husband, and I quote, “I guess we will just have to agree to disagree” and hung up on him. She then promptly turned off their phone lines so we could no longer contact them. What should’ve been an easy fix and an obvious fault on their end, ended up with us angry and frustrated on our wedding night. The Absolute Charm staff was frankly rude and refused to help us in any way. Extremely unprofessional.

Home away from home.

Excellent location in a quiet street near Main St. Very clean, homey, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. (A minor maintenance note to owner: toilet tank keeps running water. May need to adjust floater arm or replace flap.)
