Live Oak Creek Cabins- Nick's Cabin | Hot Tub | Pet-Friendly

  • One of five charming cabins set just 4 miles from the center of downtown Fredericksburg, you and a guest will love the ability to relax in the scenic Texas Hill Country and then take a short drive to town. Enjoy a king bed, large bathroom, kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, and pleasant private deck featuring a hot tub and electric grill all to yourself. In addition, Live Oak Creek is just off of your doorstep, so a day could easily be spent fishing, paddle boating, or swimming. There is also a bar at the entrance to the property.

    $38.00*/every extra person on the reservation after the first two/night
    $38.00*/pet/night
    *plus 13% tax

    The home is pet friendly and does not have a limit on the number of dogs that you can bring. However, there is a pet fee of $38/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

    Please keep in mind that, since there are four other cabins on the property, they may be occupied by other guests during your stay. Furthermore, there are RV hookups, so other guests might be utilizing those as well.

    Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Restful, Relaxing, and Rejuvenating!

Cozy cabin and beautiful grounds! Clean and comfortable. Loved sitting out on the deck and soaking in the hot tub! Highly recommend!

Nice getaway

My husband and I wanted to get away for our one year anniversary. This was our first time traveling out to Fredericksburg and we loved it! We enjoyed our own cabin with the hot tub and enjoyed the sightseeing of animals including deer and goats/sheep. We would definitely book this cabin again!

We have stayed at these cabins every time we come to Fredericksburg. Mike is always helpful, and the cabin is always clean and beautiful. The dogs have plenty of outside area to explore, It's a 5 as usual.

Perfect!

Place was perfect! Close to Main St where the wineries are. Nick's place has the perfect view of stars while sitting in HotTub. The bed was comfortable. And all questions were answered. We will be back.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

When our plans for Thanksgiving fell through due to circumstances beyond our control, we decided to make the best of it and slip away to Fredericksburg for a few days with our loyal four-legged friend. We wanted a quaint, quiet cabin that felt “away”. Nicks cabin fully delivered. From the well stocked kitchenette to the soothing back porch hot tub…everything was perfect! The bathroom is spacious, which I love, and the bed was so comfy!!! We truly had one of the best Thanksgivings our little family of 3 has ever had.

Nick's Cabin Stay was awesome!!

This is the third time we've stayed at these cabins, twice in Nick's. I proposed to my now wife there in fact. We totally enjoy the peace and tranquility, the beauty of it all. The cabins are clean and comfortable and close enough to town but far enough away to be just perfect. The hot tub doesn't suck either! If you want a great place to stay, stay here! Just not when we come back next year. This cabin is OURS!! :-)

Recommended but with some reservations

The cabin was very nice with a good location not far from town. Nice back porch with hot tub and view of creek. The lack of basics to be able to cook breakfast was disappointing. There were no burners, but an electric griddle was provided; but, it did not work and was in disrepair. I could have cooked eggs on the electric grill outside, but there was no frying pan. There were also many small details which were overlooked that would have made our stay much better. Recommended, but with some reservations.

Great place to unplug

If you don't mind not having WiFi, this is a fabulous place to unplug. The description says you can walk around the 16 acres, but there isn't a lot of area to do that. The hot tubs are nice and relaxing. You can see all the stars! I would suggest Mollie's cabin or Dean's cabin because they face away from the highway. Love the bar and grill on the property!

Time away

This was a much needed short mini trip away with the husband. The cabin was perfect. It made the two nights away even better. The view along with seeing the deer and being able to fish and just relax in the hot tub was just what we needed. This cabin is just outside of town and on some land close to a hometown bar with live music to just sit and enjoy the evening. One of the best trips we have had.

What a wonderful weekend getaway!

This was my first time to stay at Live Oak Creek Cabins. My daughter recommended it to me and I was not disappointed. The location was so serene and the bar and grill at the front of the property was walking distance and such a wonderful way to spend the evening. The food was great. The cabin was really nice, the hot tub... so relaxing. Listening to the flow of the creek running behind the cabin from our deck was just the icing on the cake. I definitely recommend this place.

Place was great. Nice and secluded and just what I wanted. Bed was so comfy and linens were soft. AC worked awesome. Clean and nicely decorated. I have just two critics. First, a dishwasher would be nice. The last thing I want to do on a get away is dishes. You could put it where the garbage is. Second, the jacuzzi jets could be better. The jacuzzi was the actual reason I booked and it was nice but it could have been better. I don't know if you can make the jets more powerful. But it really was very nice.

Wonderful Place

We stayed at this cabin for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. The cabin was the perfect size, had everything someone needs, and the hot tub works great. Their are a lot of fish which made fishing fun. The bar and grill had amazing food (especially the burgers) and great bands. All and all a great experience, we cant wait for our next stay here.

Amazing Honeymoon Escape

Who gets married in the middle of a historic ice storm AND a pandemic? The Warren's do! I have to say, I was disappointed that we didn't get to come for our original reservation on Valentines weekend, but the property owner, and Gastehaus Schmidt made sure we were safe, and rescheduled for 2/23-2/25 2021. I was very thankful that we were able to reschedule. When we arrived at our cabin (we were able to check in early, due to no previous visitors because of the ice storm), we were beyond delighted! The cabin was immaculate! So clean, and smelled amazing! They had music playing, and the decor was beautiful, and exactly what we like! The bed was heaven! Super comfy and soft, with an amazing down comforter. Outside, the view was amazing! A beautiful view of the creek, and of deer grazing and playing. The sheep on the property were pretty awesome too! The creek is crystal clear, and you can actually see the fish swimming! The hot tub was super clean, and perfect! It was very private, and sitting in it at night watching the stars was pretty awesome! We couldn't stay out of it! There is a bar/grill on the property (the lone star bar/grill) that is super cute, and has live music. This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or a family vacation! There's a paddle oat, and catch/release fishing, and at the bar/grill there are various activities for the family to enjoy. It is only a few miles from Main Street, and super easy to get to. We have said we will definitely be returning, and how neat it would be for the whole family to rent all the cabins for a weekend. Thank you to Mike for providing such a lovely place, that could be enjoyed by couples and families!

Nick's Cabin

Nick's cabin was perfect! Great location just outside of town, great view, and loved the animals on the property. Everything was clean and neat when we got there. Bed was super comfortable, and the jacuzzi was perfect for the cold January nights. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay in Fredericksburg at Nick's cabin!

Great mini vacation

My wife and my daughter and I had a good stay. Very comfortable. The only thing I would change would be the stickers all around the cabin we were in. Dogs did not have a good time with all the stickers on their paws. Seems it was only around our cabin. Once we walked a little further away from it stickers were not all over their paws. Maybe another cabin next time. Very enjoyable relaxing stay otherwise. Thank you.

Nick's Cabin Weekend

The weekend was outstanding. The cabin had everything we wanted. It's close to town and has a very cool bar and food truck at the entrance. We sat in the Hot tub and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. It's comfortable and very pleasant! I will rent this one again and again and again!
