Friends Getaway
The property lived up yo expectations. I had been looking at it for a while to rent. My friends and I had enjoyable stay in April. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay for tournaments in Frederica
We stayed with 2 other families for a field hockey tournament. It was a short drive to the turf complex in Frederica. We were able to cook our meals instead of eating out, and had a comfortable place to rest when there were breaks. It was a close walk to the beach, though we only went for short times to walk since it was in April and cold outside. There were plenty of bedrooms and places for us to hang out where we weren't on top of each other. I would stay there again if we had another event to go to in the area.

Great Stay
We had a great weekend stay during a lacrosse tournament at DE Turf. The house is very close and can accommodate a lot of people. Also very close to the beach.

Great property and excellent value!
Captains Quarters is a great house with plenty of space for 10-12 people. We had 5 people so everyone got their own room. Close to the beach, one restaurant in the area but it was fantastic, great burgers and best ice cream ever! Similar houses in Rehoboth or Dewey cost 50% more so we enjoyed the same area for a much better value.

We came with friends to spend our NYE here. It was nice and relaxing. The weather became nice enough to walk to the beach and see a beautiful sunset. The neighborhood was relatively quiet during our stay.

Great beach house
We stayed at this beach house for a short weekend in February. It was a beautiful house with everything you need for a large family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. And only one block to the beach! Mattresses were comfortable and brand new.

Christmas stay
walking distance to beach. nice home. decks on both levels. owner put christmas tree up for us. responded quickly to questions. I can see it would be a great place to stay in the summer as well.

Lovely Family Vacation
We stayed at this property to be close to family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The owner did a great job communicating and shared helpful resources about the area. The home lived up to all expectations. It was clean and well kept. We loved being able to walk down the street to the beach, which was beautiful even during the off season.

Wedding @ King Cole Farm
A group of 10 of us; 4 couples and 2 singles stayed here for a wedding held at King Cole Farm. Location was perfect, close proximity to the beach. There was enough space for all 10 of us to hang out in the living room and kitchen areas. Very convenient if you’re attending an event at KCF, it was about a 15 minute drive—don’t solely rely on ride-shares. We were planning to Uber/Lyft and it was difficult to find a ride. Overall, place was cute and the little town of Bowers Beach is cute and personable. We all agreed we’d be willing to stay here again!

The house was beautiful! Even better than the pictures. The host was easy to contact, and responded immediately with any questions. We definitely plan on coming back! Plenty of things to do in the area as well.

Spacious and Open
We celebrated a friend’s birthday by having a girls’ weekend at Captain’s Quarters. The house was well appointed and spacious. The rooms provided privacy for all of us and plenty of space to socialize. The home itself was a little dated with the usual wear and tear that exists in a beach property. The amenities were great! The bikes and beach chairs provided were wonderful and the private beach was a block away and peaceful. The only thing that we found to be wanting was the water in the home. It smelled very sulfuric which the owner did disclose that it may have a slight odor. It was more than slight but it was also in other places on Bower Beach such as the restaurant. Other than that we had a lovely stay!

Rose, thank you for the kind words! Planning on painting the interior this offseason, I agree it is in need of a refresh. Town is in talks about running city water, let's keep our fingers crossed it passes! Come back anytime!

Quiet Getaway
My friends and I had a lovely stay in Bowers Beach! It is VERY quiet, which was just what we wanted. You could walk on the beach and only see a handful of people which was great. The house is about 1/2 block to the sand, making it super easy for families with children. The house itself was advertised, and Sean was very accommodating and engaged. Overall we had a great stay!

Great visit to a hidden gem
We had a great stay at Sean’s property in Bower’s Beach. It is a great location and incredibly quiet which we loved. Lots of open beach and missing the crazy crowds of more popular beaches down the coast. Sean is a great host and was incredibly responsive throughout the visit from before we checked in to after we checked out. I was pleasantly surprised at the floor plan of the house - it was a great setup for stays with multiple families as there are separate sections of the house with connected bathrooms. This makes it a great place for different families to have their own space while also taking advantage of the large open areas to hang out - two level back deck along with a large open kitchen/dining area.

Family Vacation
Spent almost 2 weeks at Captain Quarters. Great time had by all! Bowers Beach had amazing 4th of July fireworks and we learned a lot about horseshoe crabs. Great location for visiting various locations like Philly, DC, Ocean City, Cape May, New Castle, Annapolis and Rehoboth just to name a few place we went. Sean was great and answered any questions we had quickly! If looking for a fun place to visit I would definitely recommend Captain Quarters!

We had an amazing time
The house had plenty of space for everyone and we all had a great time. The neighbors were all very friendly and it felt very welcoming and homey. We found kayak rentals close by and a fantastic restaurant. It's away from all the busy traffic but close enough to everything like Cape Henlopen and Ocean City boardwalk. It is a very short walk to the bay beach and we had so much fun exploring. We would recommend and hope to stay again.

My family and I stayed at Captain Quarters from Thursday-Sunday for a college graduation. The house was clean. The Sean was easy to contact and reliable. Short walk to the beach . Shopping nearby. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful home

Excellent location, cute village, lots of room to spread out
Our group of moms and teenage daughters was in the area for a sporting event and this house was perfect for us! The house itself is roomy and comfortable with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen. It was clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. The location, just steps from the beach, was perfect. We saw baby turtles and walked on the beach. There's a lovely seafood restaurant (JPs Wharf) just a block or so away that overlooks the water. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe, easy to bike/walk/run. The two outdoor decks make outdoor living great! For those that are not familiar with Delaware's fire and rescue alarms (like us), there is a very loud siren that sounds whenever they get a call. We unfortunately didn't know this and were woken at 2am by the siren and worried it was something telling us we needed to evacuate. We saw no one else leaving, so we eventually got back to sleep, and asked the locals the next day. Sean was easy to reach and a great host. Overall, wonderful experience and we'd absolutely stay again!

Soccer stay
We stayed for a local soccer tournament. The small beach town was quiet, lovely and easy to move in and out of. Sean could not have been more proactive or accessible for questions. He even sent us a charger that was left behind, in the mail. All adults who stayed said we'd be quick to rent again if back in the area. Our teenagers enjoyed the location, as well.

nice spot
plenty of space for all guests. great bathroom to bedroom ratio. enjoyed the bikes. ample kitchen utensils for cooking a thanksgiving meal. One surprise was the checkout requirement to wash all bed linens, towels, and bathmats before leaving. in a big group that means A LOT of washing that can't be completed until the morning of checkout. Combined with the usual packing up and cleaning that makes for a stressful morning. I prefer the requirement at other places to simply strip all beds and place those along with towels by washing machine.

Good for the price
The property was very well priced for everything that came with it. Overall, we enjoyed the area and the amenities. However, it seemed that the property had not been cleaned well before we arrived. The downstairs rooms had trash left over from previous tenants. There were also no bedding sheets for one of the rooms and the mattress cover was full of stains.

Quiet Getaway
Our family enjoyed our stay at Captain’s Quarters set in the quiet beach town of Bowers Beach. The house was spacious for our group of 12 (9 adults and 3 children) and we enjoyed being a short walk from the beach to take advantage of some unseasonably warm weather in November! Sean was very helpful in answering questions prior to our arrival and quickly responded to a few questions during our stay. Our family would definitely return for another stay!

Great trip
The property is awesome and you cannot be closer to the beach. We loved staying here and will be back next year. The kids loved the bikes and would ride every morning. I would highly recommend bug repellant for the beach.

This place does not disappoint. My family fell in love with this place on sight and loved staying here, we had a wonderful week. The beach is literally one minute away and the four beach chairs were used daily. The bikes were a hit and used by the adults and kids all throughout our stay. Convenient access to the grill right outside the living room on the porch made it so easy to cook out. Enough seating and room for everyone to hang out in the living and dining room area to play games and or watch movies. Also we decorated the porch for a family size luau and had room for everyone to hang out, which was ideal because our family of 11 wanted to be together at all times. While there was more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably we brought a queen size air mattress and set it up in the downstairs foyer for the teen girls to have their own space at bedtime and they loved it. When we did have to get ahold of Sean for anything his responses were prompt and cordial, including making it possible for us to stay an extra night. Definitely would recommend this home and return for another visit.

Lacrosse Getaway
The home is conveniently located near DE Turf. Just a short 15 minute drive to get to and from our games. JPs Wharf is a very short walk for a convenient dining option. The home was clean and beds were comfortable. 3 families shared the home during a week long stay and we weren’t crowded or stepping all over each other. I would recommend the place for families looking to stay in the area.

Awesome place amazing property manager
Awesome place great location. We went in off season for a soccer tournament so it was quiet except for our kids. The house was beautiful and tons of room for 3 families with kids. Best part was the property manager Sean he was in contact with us gave us great places to eat. Highly highly recommend
