Orchid Beach Retreat

For your added security, this property is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts.

Great for families and fishing groups, Orchid Beach Retreat sleeps up to 8 people. If you have a larger group, we have another house on the same 1.25 acre block! (See our "Fraser Forever" listing if you wish to book this property plus the second house that sleeps 13.)

Huge open plan living space separated from the sleeping areas by a big covered deck. Additional covered deck off other side of the living area. Kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, crockery and tableware and family sized fridge/freezer. Enormous kitchen bench space. All rooms, apart from one bedroom (with ensuite), have direct outside access with secure screen doors, perfect for enjoying cool evening breezes. Separate laundry.

Covered outdoor entertainment area includes BBQ and dining setting. Outdoor shower for after beach or fishing trips. Huge level yard to park and turn boats and trailers, or for kids to throw a ball around.

Located in the beautiful north of Fraser Island at Orchid Beach, away from the tourist bus stops. A favourite spot for families and fishing.

What to bring

- you need to bring linen, towels, toiletries, cleaning and laundry supplies
- you need to bring pillow cases pillows and blankets
- you need to bring insect spray, first aid kit, bin liners, paper towels, tea towels, table cloth/place mats
- you need to bring all food and drink (potable bore water on property ā€“ bring bottled if you prefer)

The local shop has a limited range of basic food supplies.
Fishing tackle and bait available at local shop.
Linen, pillows and towels are NOT provided. Please don't forget them.
$300 Dollar Bond
Please leave it clean when you leave.
We will not refund the bond if the house is not left clean and undamaged
Bond will be refunded within 48 hours after departure back into your bank account
Please clean fish down the beach.

Orchid beach retreat holiday stay

Property was not what was advertised very disappointing. 3rd bedroom was an open area and walk way to the other to bedrooms and bathroom so no privacy . Cleaning was poor , mattress in the 3 rd bedroom was very uncomfortable. No hot water pressure for showers . The sight was very hard to find with no clear directions and could not contact the owner . I would not book this location again

Great location, fantastic house, the layout of the house is perfect for a family. The patio between the two sections is brilliant. Thanks for the BBQ,fire pit and the inside fire place. Had a blast at Orchid Beach.

Nice house Orchid Beach

Great house, very comfortable. Lotsa crockery, cutlery etc but no toaster ? Friendly welcome from caretaker and wife. Had a weird experience on the last night when a shower screen exploded into pieces around 11:30. Guys next door came running thinking a tree had fallen on the house! Caretaker came over next morning and we got all the glass out. If it was me Iā€™d just install a shower curtain. Overall very fun stay in clean well equipped house. No power points in bathroom. We will return

Great place to stay for a large family or group of friends, nice to have two bathrooms (can be rare at Orchid Beach) and will let you stay for just a couple of nights, not a minimum week like so many other places.

Property and caretaker were excellent

Property was nothing fancy, but thatā€™s exactly what we wanted. Heaps of indoor and outdoor space, great fire area, and clean. Caretaker was really nice and helped us out with some things we needed but otherwise was nowhere to be seen (yet always available just next door). A fantastic bloke :)

Fantastic Fraser

The favourite part of our family Queensland holiday. The house was perfect for what we needed, comfortable, quiet and a great base to explore the island. Communication with the owner was excellent.
