Top Five Hidden Gems In Southwestern NH
This Inn is on my top five hidden gems in my favorite part of NH, the south west.LOCATION: Absolutely stunning property with beautiful vistas looking out across the mountains near and far... AND the largest inground pool with an unobstructed view of the mountains this side of the Mississippi. It's Shangri-La 30 minutes from Manchester. PEOPLE: A husband and wife duo Carrie & Bob operate this historic inn and they really couldn't be more welcoming. They have been embraced by the people of Francistown clearly, not an easy accomplishment for outsiders. If you care about the customer experience and they definitely do, even someone like me, an anti-social kill joy, will feel comfortable and I did. Thank you to both of you for your hospitality. Very down to earth people that care about their product. Even Bob's dad was a cool dude.FOOD: I told Bob, even if I wanted to go elsewhere for dinner (I didn't), there is zero chance of me getting a meal even remotely as good within 25 miles. I had the surf and turf on the deck at dusk and it was a magical experience. They know how to make a killer key lime pie -the best. ROOM: Clean, classy (no tacky country nick knacks), giant comfortable king size bed and this is silly, but great water pressure in the shower. STAFF: First class. The bartender managed to actually engaged me in a stimulating conversation; everyone was courteous, professional and attentive Merch: Cool &comfortable sweatshirt/hatNo hyperbole in this review- IT
