We were visiting family in Fosston and this was a great place for us to stay. The house had everything we needed and the owners were friendly and accommodating. We loved being met by the dog and cats across the way who were all very sweet and friendly. The yard was a great place for the kids to play and the house was in a nice quiet location just outside of town.

This place was perfect for our large family - large family and dining space, many rooms and beds, lots of space to roam and explore outside. We enjoyed visiting the surrounding towns and also spent cozy nights indoors with games and movies. Thank you for offering such a wonderfully kept home!

My 2 teens + 2 teen friends stayed at Sweet Grandma's Retreat. What a special gem! The house is as listed, and the pond is special treat with water fun and a place for a nice campfire to roast s'mores. The morning greetings from the farm dog and cat- was such a fun way to start the morning! Communication was great- and questions were answer extremely fast! Even the TEENS approved and said they want to stay again!! Thank you for sharing this property!

We loved everything about this home. It is on a farm, and there is another house across the driveway. The gravel road does get soupy when wet, but it was 100% passable in our AWD minivan. Your car will get dirty, but it is very much worth it to stay here. We met Karen, the owner, and she is very kind! We only saw her once but we knew she would be there very quickly if we needed anything. The house is just like being at a Grandmaā€™s home. It is cozy, peaceful, and stocked with caring touches and everything you might need around every last corner. We felt so relaxed just knowing we could spend all day at the house and never be without something to do. There are games and puzzles, lots of books for all ages. Beds are comfy and living room is great for open concept family cooking/dining/relaxing time. Itā€™s so clean, I have no idea how they keep every last surface dust free but again, itā€™s just like staying at a grandmaā€™s house. We had access to a spot down the driveway a bit that has a gazebo, life jackets, pretty lights for nighttime, a fire pit, a small beach area, dock, and then a paddle boat and some kayaks. I canā€™t remember if there were other floating items. We didnā€™t have the opportunity to have time down there but we promised our kids (who begged every time we drove past it) that we will go next time. The pond is small but private, and itā€™s the perfect size for family kayaking. Overall, itā€™s one of the best VRBOā€™s weā€™ve stayed in and we have been in many VRBOā€™s. 10/10!

We had a lovely time there with our family. We had planned on a snowmobile trip but the lack of snow dampened those plans. Instead we just did small day trips and hung out, played games, had a fire by the pond, explored the property. Was very relaxing.

We loved our stay at the farm! The kids (5, 3, 2, and 1) had a blast playing at the pond and in the yard. The house was really clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. The host was really friendly and even brought us fresh corn on the cob, which was delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening, itā€™s very peaceful and quiet. The dogs were great company outside, and the new kitty was a highlight for everyone! We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We hope to be back next year!

The property is wonderful! Out in the Country on gravel away from it all. The house is as pictured, lots of space for the whole family, plenty of room outside to let the kids play. The wrap around deck provides a nice relaxing evening to watch the sunset and the hummingbirds! Hot watered lasted through all 8 people showering and laundry- huge PLUS!!! The host was very quick to respond and even did us a huge favor one day and went in and turned on the crockpot for our supper while we were away. Highly recommend to anyone looking to escape the world for a week!

We were all so impressed! The pictures donā€™t do it justice. Very huge deck with beautiful scenery all around. 4 bedrooms, huge living room, and plenty of space. The lake is beautiful with all the accessories. Really great time, and will be back!

We stayed there for Christmas and came back for our grandson's 1st birthday. It was just as nice as the first time. We'll be staying there more in the future. It's a great place for us. Plenty of room and very comfortable.

Great experience. Fun and enjoyable. It had everything we needed. It was decorated for Christmas complete with a tree. We spent Christmas Day there with our daughter and her family. Iā€™m sure we will have lasting memories!

My family and I had a great and relaxing time. Plenty of space and very clean! Would definitely stay here again. The only thing to watch out for is if you have small kids the one dog gets really excited and jumps.

An incredibly peaceful setting. I really enjoyed waking up in the morning and drinking coffee overlooking their beautiful property. I could spend all day on the wraparound porch. The beds were brand new mattresses and very comfortable. Everything that they discuss in the description is accurate. Also, the kitchen is well appointed. We are already planning our return visit for next summer. Do not hesitate to reserve this property!! It is only 10 minutes to Fosston.

We enjoyed it here. The place was clean and cozy. They had two dogs fromthe farm there to play with (Katie and Bella). They were so friendly and sweet. The only complaint I had, was the water is really heavy with iron. It actually has a strong smell to it and is not drinkable at all. So make sure you bring loads of bottled water with. Also, there is no wifi or TV. You are truly unplugged here. To my surprise, none of us even cared. They have plenty of games to keep yourself busy. This place is definitely a place to go for peace, quiet, and relaxation!

Grandmaā€™s farm provided a serene, private home in a wooded country setting in northern Minnesota. We were thankful for the easy access just a few miles off Hiway 2. Vacation rentals are hard to find in this area and Grandmaā€™s Farm was a rare find. The decor was warm and inviting with tasteful and updated paint colors. Our family enjoyed the spacious outdoor lawn for our favorite lawn games. We highly recommend.
