"The room was filthy! There was white spit on the faucet, which should have been cleaned! No plug for any drains. Rust marks around toilet. Toilet paper would not stay on the dispenser, since it was rusty and broken!"

"I was really disappointed! The pool and room jacuzzi was closed and there was no mention of this, on the website. It was spring time and the weather was around 80 degrees. Secondly, there were chiggers all over the nightstands AND in our bed. We counted, and killed, above 40 of them. It was so bad that we had to decide to either go buy bug spray OR go home (without a refund). The bug spray seemed to help but the peaceful sleep was destroyed."

"First of all Hamilton, Ga., is a charming small town central to some of the nicest attractions in Georgia, i.e., Providence Canyon State Park (a MUST see), Warm Springs and the Little White House, Callaway Gardens, etc. From Don's greeting at the door upon arrival to looking forward to seeing Judy and Rosemary at breakfast our week long stay at Holly House was outstanding. "The food at the Piedmont Restaurant was not good. The menu was too sophisticated for the staff to execute. The lodge rooms were updated, but not very clean. There was a bridge in the gardens with rotted wooden slats and steps, and one section of the rail was missing altogether. The staff was friendly and helpful."

"This property is a hidden gem. The outer appearance is appealing which leads you to the well-maintained inside. There was plenty of room for our guests and the hosts were very responsive and courteous. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. "

"I wanted to leave 5 stars but the appearance of a roach as I was getting dressed to leave and the stains in the lampshade that was either blood or bug droppings stole the other two stars. I’ve stayed at many different places in my journeys and I understand what and what not to expect based on the type of property you book. This place was OK overall and if there was ever a need to be in this area briefly I’d consider them again. It’s close to food & the highway it was quiet and seemingly safe...

"We did indulge in the pool but we came at a time of the year were it’s probably not ideal to swim in a pool if it’s not heated but that didn’t stop my family from trying it out because it was a beautiful and perfect pool. :)"
