"If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap. "

The breakfast was delicious and everything you could possibley want - we didn't have an evening meal but was advised that we would need to pre-order on the day of arrival due to ongoing redecoration works in the hotel. Plenty of parking to the rear of the hotel. Overall an excellent stay."

"Our stay was not the best. Dirty cups in room, no milk, very hot room. Asked for a fan which we did receive but it was broken. On a having a shower the head of the shower flew off and hit me. Food basic, at breakfast poached eggs were hard and u only got half a slice of bread. The staff were good, and when i made a complaint i did get my money back. Overall i would never stay here agsin."

"We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight. However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. The property itself feels quite dated and would benefit from modernisation, as it seems to have remained largely unchanged for many years. It’s also worth noting that the venue hosts...

"Excellent breakfast choice good quality breakfast. Very relaxing stay. Staff excellent. We had an upgraded room really enjoyed our stay. We were with friends we had drink from the bar both afternoons and dined in the evening in hotel. It was our second visit to the hotel for the weekend and will return next year."

"This beautiful listed building is set in very peaceful and calm grounds. The staff are really helpful and friendly. We loved the jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna. The owners have plans to update the rooms whilst keeping the wonderful character of the hotel. We loved our stay here."

"Atendimento rapido, eficiente. Quartos grandes, bem equipados, confortáveis, limpos e completos. As instalações também estão em excelentes condições. Porém fica numa região sem muitas opções de restaurantes/comercio perto. É dependente de um carro ou uber pra fazer tudo."
