Welcome to Pelican’s Perch!

Thank you for looking at my beach condo. If you choose to stay here I don’t think you will be disappointed. My goal is to make sure that each and every guest has a wonderful and carefree stay. Beginning March 1st through October 31st I offer FREE a beach setup consisting of two chairs and an umbrella. This is a $35.00/day benefit that is included when you book my condo.

Tropical Isle Unit 111 is a first floor one bedroom. It is perfect for a couple or a small family looking for a reasonably priced place at the beach. Outside of the door you can see the walkway which is just 50 steps from the beautiful white sands and emerald green water of the gulf.

Being a beach lover all of my life, over the past 15 years I have stayed in many different units at Tropical Isle. When I was fortunate enough to purchase this condo one of my goals was to make it as comfortable as possible for both me and my guests. And that was whether you were sitting on the sofa or in the oversized chair watching the 55” Smart TV, or whether you were sleeping on the premium mattress in the king-sized bed. That is also the case for those of you who have family or friends who will be sleeping on the sofa bed. Rest assured they will also be comfortable. It is equipped with bunkie boards so as not to feel those terrible bars from the sofa; and the mattress also has a memory foam topper on it.

The convenience of Tropical Isle cannot be beat! With the complex being small you are able to park right in front, or in back of the unit; no waiting for elevators or climbing stairs. With so few units the pool is never crowded. And an added plus is that the Tom Thumb is right next door for anything you may have forgotten to buy at the store.

I also included daily FREE Beach Setup of two beach chairs and one umbrella. This is a $35.00 /day value that is included when you rent the condo.

Quick beach runaway!

This condo was exactly what we wanted and needed. When we decided to take a trip on the 4th of July we knew we wanted somewhere close to the water and in the smaller side. This condo was FABULOUS! Tracey was so easy to reach and answered all my questions. The condo was fabulous. Having a first floor walkout directly across from the beach access was the BEST! The condo itself was exactly what we needed, we cooked all our meals there and had a ton of space and never felt crowded. It was super clean when we arrived and we found everything we could need for our stay. We will 100% be back!!!

Great place in a great location!

We had a wonderful stay here. Tracey was especially good with communication and was very accommodating when we had to shift our dates. The place is literally steps from the beach. There's also a convenience store right next door which was super handy. We would definitely stay here again.

Nicely remodeled condo in a very convenient location

We flew into Destin/Ft Walton and used Uber in lieu of a rental car. This condo worked wonderfully for our arrangement. The standouts were: 1) the keyless entry for late check-in and going to and from the beach. 2) first-floor condo with easy access to a great section of beach. 3) parking directly outside the unit. 4) a Tom Thumb convenience store next door to the complex open 5am - 11pm that carries ice, water, adult beverages, and snacks. Greatly reduced our need to Uber for groceries. 5) free concierge beach umbrella and chairs waiting for us at the beach allowed us to travel light. 6) close to area attractions and restaurants, 20-minute trip to airport. Our Uber cost averaged $10 per day. We would highly recommend this unit to couples and young families.

Destin Vacation

This was our first visit to Ft Walton Beach/Destin. The location of the condo could not have been better. The beach access was right outside our back door with easy access to parking. There is even a convenience store right around the corner for everything that we needed any time of day. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for cooking. Tracey the owner was quick with all communication and made the check in process very easy. We were even able to check in a little early after arriving into town earlier than expected. Overall I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay in the Ft Walton Beach/Destin area. If we go back, we will definitely stay again!

Hidden Gem!

I almost don’t want to give such a great review so we can keep this place to ourselves, but that just wouldn’t be fair. This place was just great! It is small, but it felt bigger than it was. It is light, airy, and very clean! The owner has so many extras available that make everything so much more enjoyable, like extra floats, chairs, and even beach towels. The location is PERFECT! The beach was a short walk just across a little bridge. The part of the beach was clean and beautiful and not insanely busy either! Two chairs and an umbrella are already reserved, so you can just wake up and walk right on over and spend the day. The location is also great because it’s not typical bumper to bumper tourist traffic, but you are just a few minutes from Destin where you can do the extra fun things then go back to a more peaceful area. The owner was quick and helpful with communication. If I could, I would give this place 6 stars! We will definitely be coming back!

Beach Vacation

Our family had a wonderful experience. We loved the condo at Tropical Isle #111. Our bottom floor room was right across from a public beach access. Just perfect. We got on and off the beach with ease. Our host Tracey provided plenty of bath, kitchen and beach towels. We appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook with. The fridge was a perfect size. Wifi was easy to connect to. It was helpful to have access to an onsite laundry room which required a credit card. The swimming pool was very nice and clean. There was a shower and hose next to the pool to easily rinse off after the beach. The only real concern was the king size bed which was too soft and added little support. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend to friends and family.

A wonderful time with the family

The condo was very comfortable and was just like the pictures. The owner was easy to get in touch with and was very nice and helpful. The beach was a short walk across the parking lot. My family and I really enjoyed the white sand and the ocean. My 7 year old had a blast using the body board that was in the closet. I would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful property

The property was so quiet. Even though people were staying on both sides and above us I never heard them. In hotels I usually hear every door open and outside noises and I heard nothing! Amazing patio that I took advantage of every morning and evening.

Great location and easy access to beach

The condo was exactly what I needed - a single room and a common area with galley kitchen. Every kitchen gadget was available (except toaster, which was inoperative). Anything I needed was available in the condo. I used the rear parking and access door since it had an electronic lock. The parking spaces are a bit short, as I had a full-size F150 truck, but didn't seem to be a problem. This unit was directly across from the public access point to the beach. I was on the beach in 2 minutes!! A Tom Thumb convenience store is 100 yards away on the same side of the street, which helped in getting some late night snacks :). The welcome book described exactly what to do, if needed. The wifi worked great - no issues at all with internet access. I look forward to staying at this location again every time I come down to Fort Walton Beach to visit friends and family. Thanks for a five-star experience!!

This was a beautiful condo. We enjoyed staying here and the beach was easy to access. They had chairs and umbrellas to use and the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and stuff needed to cook. We will definitely be back.
