This was an amazing vacation for our family! Our room was great ā€” very clean, great views and comfortable. The pool and lazy river was great for our 2.5 year old. I loved how close the walk to the beach/ocean was - very convenient! The food was great at the resort ā€” we ate most meals here and it was fabulous! The employees were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

We have stayed here before

My Fiance and I have stayed at the Pelican grand many times already but in different units. This unit was beautiful and has great views. For me personally the bed was great but my Fiance had a hard time sleeping as he said that one side was worn out. The shower wasnā€™t working properly but they did handle it.

Great Value at this small luxury hotel

The room was updated and just as advertised. The only thing I would suggest is a blanker or comforter for the pull out day bed. I did not ask the front desk if they had one, so that might have been an option I did not explore. The king bed was comfortable and the bathroom was updated and big. I would definitely book this property/room again.

Terrible vrbo listing

Pelican grand was okay if booking directly through the resort. However, the VRBO listings for rooms are from employees resort abusing their privileges. Room wouldnā€™t get cleaned, two managers said theyā€™d provide VIP cleaning; never happened. Room was not updated, stained sheets, appears to be blood on floor and curtains. Resort was okay, but they nickel and dime you for everything ; including extra towels. Any food or drinks at resort incurs a 22% gratituty

Great view, nice beds, but broken shower head holder put a damper on trip

We loved the property, great view, nice beds, but a few maintenance issues. The shower head holder was broken, so it kept falling while trying to shower. The room was freezing cold so we turned the AC all the way down when we checked in, but it was still too cold for comfort. There was no blanket for the day bed so I had to sleep in my sweater. The mini fridge was frozen over, and everything we put in it became frozen. We turned the setting all the way down but it still froze our bottles of water and strawberries. With all that said, we did enjoy the stay, but but this unit needs some maintenance.

The floors were dirty. With sand and sticky. When I asked for more towels because I had to use them as rugs. Then they charged me for it!

What a fabulous resort! Everything that you need is right there. From getting coffee in the gift shop, to the fantastic beach hands setting up your lounge chair and umbrella on the beach, cocktails in the bar or by the pool, quick gym workout and delicious dinner in the restaurant or veranda overlooking the beach. All the staff is so warm and welcoming and happy to help. Our room allowed a magnificent view and we could just sit up in bed and watch the sunrise. Exceeded our expectations and cannot wait to return.
