It’s a great property with outstanding staff. I did not realize there was not maid service or towel refresh (maybe my fault, did not see that in the description). The room needs updating…..wood furniture beat up, wicker balcony chairs worn out….needs a refresh. I have stayed in the hotel before and the VRBO price does reflect where the discount comes in. On the plus side …..great beds and linens. We slept well.

Location of the property was very nice. Beautiful beach! All employees very friendly and helpful. John who worked on the beach serving was outstanding!The room ac would not go below 70 and became too warm at times. Outdoor furniture on patio needs replacing. Many outlets did not work. Could use more washcloths. Floor a bit dirty, if did not keep my shoes on my feet became filthy. Communication with Host was not timely even during daytime weekday hours. We felt parking cost too high at 60 per night -valet only.

The room had a beautiful view, with plenty of space for 3 of us. We appreciated the partitioned rooms, giving us 2 separate places to sleep. The room is nicely updated with comfortable furniture/beds. I did have to ask housekeeping to re-clean the room after we arrived as it seems they only changed the sheets/towels but didn’t actually clean the room.

Finding parking was a small challenge when beach events were going on, but usually within a few blocks we found space. The host was great and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

My mom and I absolutely loved it here! The resort is very well kept and the staff is phenomenal. They are kind and friendly and quick to help. Our room was nice and clean and the beach view was beautiful. I loved it here and definitely plan to again.

Property was gorgeous & the stay was amazing! We enjoyed the beach service & all the extras that Pelican Grand Beach has to offer. We will definitely be back again some time. We are sad to leave & would love to make this our forever home!

Bad service

Room was sandy when we arrived. We asked the front desk to clean it. They did not. We asked again the next day. It was cleaned. I went to the restaurant to order coffee to go. It took 30 minutes for the waiter to take my order after I was seated. Another 30 for the coffee. People next to me were seated after me and were served their full breakfast before I received the coffees. I will not recommend or stay there again.

Always Amazing

Each time we stay at The Pelican Grand is always an amazing experience. From checking in, to the lazy river, to ice cream in The Emporium, everyone is pleasant and so accommodating and friendly. The room itself, perfect! We cannot wait until we come back next time.

Great Stay / Great Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Pelcian Grand Beach Resort. The room was very comforatable and clean and the staff was especially friendly and nice. We thought our 2 pool attendants Chris and Jovanni were especially accomodating and went out of there way to provide exceptional customer service.... We look forward to returning soon....

Nice property & spacious room

We’ve stayed at this property twice before. The resort and rooms are nice. Only three complaints - 1. There was a huge airshow with the main viewing area located very close down the beach. It turned a peaceful beach into a sea of humanity everywhere. We likely would have stayed somewhere different based on our preference of peace and quiet. The air show wasn’t noted on the VRBO site. 2. The beach service attendants refused to open the umbrellas for two of our four days on the property. They claimed it was too windy. I’ve been vacationing in FL for 30 years and I’ve never stayed at a resort that refused umbrella service unless there was extreme weather in the area. It was so hot in the sun without shade, it made sitting on the beach impossible. It wasn’t overly windy and every other hotel properties in the general vicinity had their umbrellas out and up. 3. The two TV’s in the rooms didn’t work very well. One in the sitting area didn’t work at all and the other one the remote wouldn’t allow you to access the station guide or allow streaming from our iPads for Netflix. If I’m paying significant nightly room rates, these are basic items that should be available.
