Mediterranean Villa / Greater Ft. Lauderdale

A little piece of Italy in South Florida!
We are not an event venue! NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
KraushausUSA2 is approximately 6,000 sq. ft. (550 sq. meters including guest apartment), a Mediterranean villa located on a small island in Lake Santa Barbara which is a part of the Intracoastal Waterway and about a mile from the Atlantic Ocean. This island oasis is positioned one block off Federal Highway between Commercial and Atlantic Blvds. and is close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, banks, tennis courts, and a golf course.

Depending on the time of year, (3/4/7) night minimum stay required.

This unique property is great for families! It has 6 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 13 people (See description in the 'room details' section. )
Enjoy the amenities of the backyard that include: grilling area; detached gazebo with pizza oven and fire pit, outdoor dining for at least 12, and a 5 hole-putting green!

This spacious and beautiful home easily accommodated all 13 of us for a week oflounging by the pool, soaking up the sun during the day and soaking in the hot tub under beautiful starry skies!The house is stocked with beach chairs, coolers and umbrellas to make beach trips super convenient! Rolf was an excellent host! Always eager to help and accommodate with any request. Our family greatly appreciated the hospitality!

Words cannot explain how amazing the property, house and hosts are. We were blown away by the beauty, character, cleanliness and attention to detail from the moment we pulled into the tropical driveway until the last moment leaving, looking back into the house as we hesitantly closed the door. I believe a vacation is made memorable by the destination and the friends and family with you. I also believe it is the house that makes it magic, and the hosts that make it feel like home away from home. Rolf and Ingrid are lovely to communicate with and I can't thank them enough for telling me the story of the house when I asked. Everything about this house is impressive.We will return as soon as possible.Overall an outstanding place and experience.My family and I highly recommend!Truly STUNNING!

Absolutely Perfect Stay! 10/10We just wrapped up an incredible weekend at Rolf’s unbelievable home, and couldn’t be happier. We were a group of eight friends and this place exceeded every expectation for our favorite buddy's bachelor party. It is clear from the moment you arrive that Rolf has poured years of effort and care into every detail of the home and guest experience. Every room was impeccably equipped—super comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and thoughtful extras everywhere you looked. The Master bedroom is a 5-star luxury experience. The kitchen is a dream! Stocked way above and beyond—truly chef-level. We cooked every meal together and never lacked a single utensil or piece of equipment. There was everything from blenders and hand mixers to a brick pizza oven, a deep fryer, and a killer barbecue setup.The pool area became our base camp, and the in-pool table was a showstopper. Being able to sip our coffee while actually sitting in the pool was just unreal. The grounds and scenery are gorgeous, making every moment relaxing and special.Rolf was the perfect host, quick to respond and super helpful whenever we reached out. He made us feel welcome and totally at home.We wish we could give 20 out of 10! Unrestricted gratitude for all the effort, care, and hospitality. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to return! Thank you Rolf!

I cannot praise this home enough. Rolf was a great host-showing us where everything was and checking in to make sure we were okay. He went above and beyond. The home itself has a cool layout and funky vibe and it’s huuuuuge, even for our group of 9. Overall everything was super clean and the pool area was pristine. We spent most of our time in or by the pool and hot tub. The boys played putt-putt and utilized the “men’s room” containing the pool table every day. Plenty to do inside and out. We loved our stay here! Will definitely be recommending this home to our other family members and may even come back next year!

Paradise Awaits!

This home was absolutely paradise! Conveniently located to everything you could possibly want to do. It was extremely spacious for our family of 7. The backyard was a tropical delight with pool, spa and outdoor entertainment/bar area. Beach and restaurants were minutes away and easy to get to. The host, Rolf, was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure our stay was top notch. We will definitely book again!

Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen, sehr geräumig, äusserst gut ausgestattet und in einem ruhigen Teil von Pompano. Der Strand ist in fünf Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen und im Haus gibt es Sonnenschirme und Stühle. Rolf ist der ideale Gastgeber und steht immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Most wonderful vacation!

The house is as beautiful- if not more so- than the pictures show. The layout feel spacious so that different parts of the family could maintain privacy as needed. The pool was delightful as was the hot tub - that latter a particularly special feature after the sun went down. We also became expert mini golfers! The proximity of the kitchen and family room to the pool allowed easy supervision of the kids. The adjacent deck was a source of entertainment for the older children who marveled at the boats at the marina across the way. For adult couples considering this rental. the views are gorgeous and there are decks on the second floor (and a tiny surprise deck up a winding stair to the third floor) for drinks and quiet conversations- or celebrations.Rolf, the host, is extraordinary. He was always available if or when needed.Pompano beach is a solid 0.9 mile walk or 2 minute drive- with ample parking. It is a special place. Pompano is pristine, and stays shallow quite a ways out which allowed the younger kids to play in the water with ease. There is an adjacent park with fresh water sprinklers running all day long as well as a nearby playground. There is a long pier that extends into the ocean where fishermen and others casually stroll and enjoy the day. Honestly this is about the nicest "beach" home we have rented...and we have rented many here and around the world. Truly we are hoping to return!

Best Host Experience Ever

We rent as a family nearly every year somewhere in the Greater Fort Lauderdale Area and have had many experiences. Rolf as a host was second to none. Attentive, proactive, and wants you to have a good time while you are there. We didn't even have to take out the garbage.The home was well cared for, clean, maintenance and upkeep was the best we've seen. If I had to leave a "could be better" it might be more options for King beds as only the primary had one. But otherwise it was spectacular. We will be booking again next year.

Perfect Staycation!

We needed more space with family coming to town and made the right choice with this rental!! The house was immaculately clean and had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The beautiful saltwater pool with a soothing waterfall was a highlight. The owner was very attentive and made sure we knew he would help if we needed absolutely anything! We will definitely rent again.

Amazing House and Host!

We stayed with 5 adults and 3 children, ages 2, 5 and 7. The kids were in the pool or at the beach 12 hours a day! The house is magnificent, very extravagant. The kids said they felt like Tony Montana, LOL. We loved the back yard and that we could be in the kitchen and still be part of what was going on in the back yard and in the pool, you never felt separated from anyone. The Pompano Beach is great, not super crowded, family friendly and great sand. Parking always available, affordable and has a great app to use whenever you park. The downtown strip, though small by Florida standards, had absolutely everything we needed. The restaurants were great and varied, we loved Oceania on the beach for a little fancier dinner, The Foundry on the strip, off the beach with great outside dining and big tables inside. The Huston on the canal had the very best food, top notch. Our host was great, responsive to every request and every need. The giant portable speaker didn't work, I let him know and said I don't really care because we have a small portable speaker that works. within a couple hours, a brand new speaker was delivered to the house. The putting green in the back yard was a great distraction fo rthe kids when grown ups getting ready for dinner. We walked to the beach a couple times (had a stroller for the kids) and really enjoyed the walk. The Yellow Yolk was nice for breakfast on the strip. We rented a yacht in Ft Lauderdale for 4 hours one day and it was awesome! Great time!

AMAZING STAY WITH FAMILY!

My family and I went for a 3 night stay before boarding a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. There were 9 of us, from 4 different families. We had plenty of room to stretch out in the house, everyone with their own space. The home is well equipped with everything we needed to cook and have a great time. We enjoyed our time by the pool immensely. I was very nervous about the pool and canal being so close to the home, traveling with an almost 2 year old. Rolf set up the gate around the water before our arrival so I felt completely safe with my toddler being in the backyard. We swam and played mini golf, watched TV outside and had the best time. It was hard to believe our trip was going to get any better when we boarded our cruise after check out. The home has additional baby items that were super helpful as well- several pack n plays with sheets, high chair, etc. Highly recommend!!!

Family trip

This house is exactly as described. The sheets were beyond soft and the beds comfortable and abundant. The ice maker in the entry way came in very handy. The pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and space were amazing with more than enough towels for everyone. The washing machines and dryers were very useful. The kitchen is stocked with stables which is very convenient. There was construction going on next door but was never an issue, don't let that turn you off. We very much enjoyed the activities at the marina across the canal. Rolf was available for assistance when needed but not intrusive. We will be back and look forward to staying here again. Pleasure to meet you Rolf.
