"Spacious house with mountain views near Great Sand Dunes National Park. The town is tiny but not terribly far from larger towns with more amenities. We really enjoyed the space to spread out and proximity to the dunes. The house had large appliances and spacious kitchen and plenty of hot water. The gas range especially was a pleasure to use. "We loved the isolation! The view is beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring the entire region. "

"This house was really great.. yes, a few things could be upgraded but it’s very large and quiet. You can drive anywhere within 20 to 30 min. So scenic and beautiful "

"We had a fabulous time staying at this cabin. We saw a herd of elk, plenty of deer and beautiful birds! The furnishings and cleanliness were fantastic! Having coffee and spices on site was so appreciated. We would highly recommend this place to others and hope to visit again someday! Christie"

"House and amenities were exactly as advertised. House was beautiful, clean and just what we wanted. Owner was great communicator and kept in touch with us during our stay. We will be returning to the area and will definitely rent from her again as long as she lists the house. AMAZING STAY!!"

"What a lovely little cabin. This was exactly as presented online and had extra amenities that weren’t listed. The view out the windows of the cabin was across a meadow with a creek running through it and green tree covered mountains in the background. In three days we saw elk in the meadow 5 times. Excellent common areas and air hockey was a fan favorite too. Highly recommended! "

"We made a quick stop on our way driving from Houston to northern Utah. The place was comfortable and clean. The communication with the owner was excellent. I had my dog and my 80 year old mom with me. Both felt comfortable there :)!"

"We stayed in the MIL suite for two nights. Using it for a jumping off point for visits to the Cuchara Ski area and the Great Sand Dunes. The place was comfortable a spotless! Would highly recommend!"

"Quite and Private. Roomy and Clean. Each bedroom has its own bath plus there is a 1/2 bath, plenty of seating around the house, very convenient for families. The beds were comfortable. One note, the only A/C is a window unit in the kitchen. Each room has great ceiling fan(s) but guests are asked not to open the windows. If the weather is warm, the bedrooms can get a bit warm."

"The property is adorable, just like the pictures show. It is in the perfect area for seeing Cuchara, La Veta and San Isabel National Forest. The owner was more than willing to accommodate us with amenties and recommendations. "

From the spices, cookware, dishes, and towels in the kitchen, to the extra pillows, blankets, cots, and air mattresses for the bedrooms, to the boards and sleds for fun at the Dunes, everything was clean and well-stocked. "If you want some peace and quiet from the road . This little place fits the bill perfectly. It is secluded and tucked away. The area surrounding it is a goldmine of culture, languages and scenery. 14,000 foot peaks an hour away. Charming small towns tucked away in remote areas. An adventure."

"This was the perfect base for our time at the great sand dunes and zapata falls. We didn’t have much time so being right there was so helpful. And the property is adorable and well equipped. Highly recommend!"

"We celebrated our 20th anniversary here and we hope this place is around for years to come for us to bring friends and family. The house was so light and airy inside with tons of space, lots of seating in the living room and dinning room, games of all kinds, and everything you need in the kitchen. "Beautiful property with comfortable beds and incredible views. Check-in was a breeze and owner worked with us on the check-in time. We loved the lack of WiFi, felt more like an escape (although cell service was strong if we needed anything). No dishwasher, which some might find off-putting, but not a problem for us. We thought it the perfect little cabin for a Colorado summer stay."
