    Located in Green River highlands, a river front gated community with access to the park and the Green River, ten minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center, this 1800 square foot historic farmhouse built circa 1797 has been fully restored and furnished with antique furniture. Enter the property and take a step back in time while enjoying the modern comfort in this warm, cozy and peaceful environment. The house is surrounded by six mostly wooded acres of land. Enjoy a walk in the wood or relax on one of the porches and observe the wildlife. The owners speak French.
    FREE use of a 220v 50 amps Nema 14-50 EV outdoor outlet.

Absolutely amazing! Very convenient location for competing at TRYON. Beautiful home with rich history in a secure gated community- but you don’t see neighbors. Wonderful hosts (on property if needed) left a goodie basket for us, treats for our dog, and even some essentials (coffee creamer was a huge hit for this horse show momma). House has everything you could need. Plenty of towels, full kitchen with coffee makers, air fryer, and microwave plus full washer and dryer. I can’t say enough about this awesome place to stay!

Historic Getaway

We enjoyed our stay in the historic Farmhouse! It was just as listed and pictured, and hosts were wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered to find an array of goodies for us and the dogs!

This little gem is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again this year! We love that it is pet friendly & clean as well as cozy and has lots of character. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Host was wonderful! Answered all of questions immediately and told stories of the historical house and grounds.Place was very clean and interesting. Lots of deer and turkeys around. Very charming. Place was well stocked with anything you might need including a lovely bottle of wine. Comfortable beds!

Tryon horse show getaway

We all just loved the historic farmhouse! It’s big and cozy and the hosts are without a doubt the most accommodating hosts I’ve ever stayed with! You are close in, but feel worlds away.

Lovely historic home and fantastic hosts

Truly loved and appreciate the historic home, the effort the owners devoted to restoring the home and country surroundings. The host provided “goodies”, including a holiday cookie and an abundance of coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place

We loved this place! This is a lovely house with a lot of history, but with all modern amenities, too. The setting is gorgeous and we all felt very safe there. I loved sitting on the back deck in the morning, and in the afternoon watching the deer eat in the yard. It's an extraordinary place and I would recommend it highly.

Wonderful home in the mountains

We were in town for a horse show at TIEC and stayed here for the weekend. The Hosts were amazing and left us goodies to enjoy when we arrived (the kids loved this special touch!). The beds were comfortable and the towels were plentiful! There was nothing more we could have asked for except for more time here! We will be back!

Great little spot

We rented this cabin for an event at Tryon Equestrian Center. We were very pleased with the location of the home, the character of the home, and the cleanliness. The owners were very nice and despite being next door respected our privacy completely. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Awesomeness👌

Amazing. Kids loved everything from the decor, the house, the wildlife, the coy pond, the sweets and the whole experience was great for all of us. We will be back. The owners are amazing and accommodating every step. Communication is quick and pleasant. One of the best places we have ever stayed!!!!

Great Family Get-together

Cozy and comfortable historic home. Just what we needed for us, 2 grown kids and their spouses, and one grandchild. Lots of visitors...deer and squirrels! Peaceful retreat. We really enjoyed the fire pit as well as getting to know the hosts and the history of the house. Thank you, Marie-Paule and Daniel!

I wish I could give this place a 10 star review. This farmhouse was so wonderful. The location was very easy to access, there was ample parking, and wildlife all around. It was quite, peaceful, clean, historic, and had too many amenities to list. When we arrived, there were groceries in the fridge, cookies on the counter, and a bowl of chocolates. There were ample towels, paper towels, TP, detergent, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. We met the host when we got to the property on the second day. Such a lovely woman, and her husband was extremely quick to respond to any questions that I asked. My only concern is that by leaving this amazing review that this property might not be available the next time we are in town because everyone else would want to rent this farmhouse. It was such a nice change to rent an home that was far an above nicer that the photos show on the site. I have stayed at multiple rentals over the years and this was, by far, the BEST one EVER!!!

Such a cool house and close to TIEC

this was our second time staying here, and we loved it just as much this time as the last time. It is such a cool house with a lot of character. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean, the bathrooms are nice, and the beds are all comfortable. the Internet was having problems while we were there, but outside of that it was perfect. It is especially great if you were showing at TIEC, it takes 10 minutes or less to get there from the house.

Beautiful Farmhouse

We were in town to attend a horse show at TIEC and the location of farmhouse was perfect! The farmhouse is beautiful, spacious and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings and watching the various wildlife. The farmhouse is very well maintained and a very peaceful and relaxing place. The hosts have done a wonderful job documenting the interesting history of the farmhouse and area. They also respect your privacy, respond quickly to any questions and make check-in and check-out very easy. We would stay here again without hesitation and add an additional day or two just to enjoy this beautiful property!

Really cool restored farmhouse

We stayed here for a week while our son was showing at TIEC. The house is less than 15 minutes from TIEC. It is one of the coolest homes we have stayed in. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was great. The large table in the kitchen is fantastic for family meals and late night card games. We loved seeing the deer, foxes, and turkeys. The home is so unique. You will love looking at each detail in every room. We would absolutely stay here again if given the chance.

A completely wonderful experience!

Daniel and Marie Paule have made this 200+ year old farm house a delightful place to relax and enjoy being with friends and family. Everything was well thought out and very functional. Read the history of the farm house that Daniel has put together. Everything becomes real and alive. I cannot give it a better rating 11 out of 10!

History lesson

The description got us there. We are history enthusiasts and Daniel and Marie have some deep history to share of the property and their own lives. We came to stay there because we were up at the WCRA at the Tryon. Less than 10 minutes, we had our own cabin in the mountains. Relaxing and comfortable, the Coepens welcomed us with all the essentials. I’d stay there again for a getaway quiet retreat, or if at the Tryon again. Or On the history trail through the east coast, stay here! You’ll learn a lot!

Horse Show Visit

We were in town with family for a horse show at TIEC. The property was an instant favorite with our family that loves “picturesque, historic, simple” country charms! Everything about the house was welcoming and realistically detailed for its time period. It truly felt like stepping back in time. The host was exceedingly helpful, prompt to respond, and very gracious. Deer, turkey, and other wildlife abound. We cannot say enough about this charming home and it’s owner’s thoughtful hospitality… we will definitely be back again!

Horse show hideout

We were in town for a show at TIEC. This property was just 10 minutes from the grounds. The owners were onsite but we never actually saw them!! There was a small issue with the AC and they had a temporary unit installed for our first night and had it completely fixed the next day and left us a kind note and some wine for the “inconvenience” of which there was none!! The home is rich with history and rustic. We enjoyed watching the deer and enjoyed the peace and quiet after some long and hectic days on the show grounds!

Thanksgiving on the Farm

We had two families (4 adults, 3 children and a dog) for the Thanksgiving holiday. Always nerve-wrecking preparing a holiday meal away from your own kitchen, but our stay was absolutely perfect! Daniel and Marie were more hospitable than we could have ever dreamed possible through VRBO! I told Daniel it felt like we stayed at a BnB on steroids! Welcome baskets, extra cooking and table wares for us to make sure our holiday was special! And it was! The restoration of the home and surrounding properties is amazing and watching the deer at sunrise and sunset is so captivating. We enjoyed meeting them and wish we had spent more time talking with them during our stay! We will definitely be back! Thank you Daniel and Marie for a Thanksgivng we will remember forever!
