Nightlife
Spend the rest of your evening enjoying everything that Folly's social life has to offer. The bar scene provides a variety of island drinks along with the friendliest mix of multi-generation tourists and locals. Bar hopping will give you a variety of great conversation, people-watching, and a wide selection of live music to dance the night away. In addition to music, establishments offer various activities such as karaoke, piano entertainment, trivia, and bingo are scattered among the island's local establishments. As you return the few blocks home, stop by Bert's for a midnight snack or night-cap beverages. Then head to the sunroom, dim the lights, and in the still of the night, open the windows and listen to the waves. 

Water Activities
Folly boasts a variety of other activities such as fishing, sailing, and dolphin watching charters, surfboard, kayak, golf cart, and paddle board rentals, beach combing, shelling, and shark-tooth hunting.

Other opportunities
Rent a golf cart (several rental options within a block of Sweet C), head 4 miles east to the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve or 2 miles west to the Folly Beach County Park. There are two children's playgrounds on Folly, and also a tennis court. (Rackets and various other sporting equipment may be included in the shed.)
While you can spend your entire vacation without leaving the island (or getting in your car), visiting the surrounding areas offers many more beautiful, historical, educational, and memorable vacation opportunities. ** Folly Beach is a smaller residential community with full-time residents and VERY strict and new short-term rental ordinances. My place is very convenient to downtown and the beach, but also among residents. It's perfect for multi-generation families, couples, laid-back friends, seniors, and business travelers, but not so much for the "here to party" groups. **
