The house with a million dollar view
The house was the perfect size for everyone to spread out and relax to take in the spectacular view all while having great space to gather. We especially enjoyed the 2 patios on the main level that our handicapped sister had easy access to. Rafi was so easy to work with, as we added extra days to our stay. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

Holiday Retreat
Our 2nd stay at this beautiful home. We stayed last year and had could not wait to come back! This trip was as enjoyable as our last. The home is very large and fits our family get together well, the view is beyond gorgeous , the location is amazing, close to everything, and Rafi is the best host, very quick to respond to questions or needs. This home is a must if you are staying in Florence and want to be on the water. Highly recommend!

Magical place
Me and my friends been coming from chicago to this magical place few times a year for the last six years.We really enjoy the fishing ,realaxing and the wievs from this beutifull house..The neighborhood itselfs is very quite and friendly for morning or evening exercising or realaxing walks. Also we do really like the dining in downtaun of Florence which is only 8 min drive from the house.The house is very clean and cozy, different patios give great option if i want to take a break from my friends. Looking forward for my next stay there.

Just the spot
For our needs this was perfect. We were visiting our son at UNA and wanted a home with a pool, plenty of room and a view. This had all 3. I cooked all meals in the home. The kitchen had a large stove and oven and plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. The host was very responsive. The home was clean we had no problems there. We had concerns after reading some of the reviews but were happy with what the home provided us. We enjoyed time at the pool, meals cooked in the kitchen, meals and games at the dining room table, sitting on the patio, beautiful views from many rooms, walks in the neighborhood and a 15minute drive from campus allowing our son to stay with us.

Great view, lots of space, but disappointing.
First the good: The house is huge and has plenty of space to host a family reunion. The views out the windows are stunning, with lots of natural light. The neighborhood is absolutely wonderful, beautiful, and quiet. However, once you get past that, it's pretty disappointing. The pool was dirty and unsafe due to a missing main drain cap which is extremely dangerous, so we could not use it even if we wanted to spend an hour cleaning it up. We were hoping to be able to use the pool but could not. The kitchen was not cleaned well, with dirty fridge shelves and sticky substance on the handle. The counter surfaces were unclean. If you intend to cook, expect to go to the store to get what you need to cook, because the pots and pans are unsafe to use with peeling teflon, even the can opener was so rusty we were afraid to use it. We spent a good chunk of money and time just getting pots we needed to cook. The pictures of this listing show the pool and kitchen prominently. Probably the worst thing is that both were unusable in the condition they were in. We managed to clean up the kitchen enough to use it after buying what we needed. The windows were not clean and there were smears all over on the interior. Lots of dead flies and bugs around the windows all over the house that could easily have been vacuumed up but weren't. Fingernail and toenail clippings in the living room. Sadly the owner seems to be dealing with a mice problem, saw several and disposed of a dead one.

Amazing stay!
I am a frequent VRBO renter and this property was by far my favorite. Amazing views, sunset and sunrises were beautiful, the location was very quiet and had easy access to multiple restaurants, shopping, etc. The kitchen was laid out perfectly, the master was on the main level and separate from the 3 bedrooms on the top floor. The basement was a great hangout space. Rafi responded quickly and was very accommodating. Would highly recommend this home to couples or large family’s. We will definitely rent again!

Great location and view!
The pool area and river view didn't disappoint. The neighborhood is great as well. The house was a bit dated and some of the appliances in the kitchen didn't work exceptionally well (gas range and icemaker). The outside windows and upper patio area could use a power washing. Otherwise though, we were very happy with our stay. Some other reviews seem a bit picky about the cleanliness. It's a huge house and I'm sure getting it completely spotless between every guest is very difficult. We would most definitely stay here again if in the area.

Yearly June family trip
The house was beautiful but needs some work on appliances. gas stove never would work right. ice maker was broke there was a grill but no lighter in house to light it . The furniture inside not very comfortable but beds were good . This was a great weekend with family thank you for sharing with us

Needs DEEP Cleaning
This property has been very neglected. Curb appeal is good. View out the back is great. Interior was extremely DIRTY. DO NOT be fooled by the pool and view. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Awesome house
This home was perfect for a family vacation. The view was awesome and the pool was great to float in and look out over the water!!! We will definitely be returning. Rafi was amazing! The only problem was I did not want to leave.

Family Reunion
Great location for our family reunion over Thanksgiving. House is lovely and views are incredible. All in all a great choice, just little things need to be addressed. A few things need to be repaired/replaced - mattresses, pillows, light bulbs, water faucet in shower in private bath upstairs need to be labeled, Owner and handyman were very quick about responding which was great. Would rent again.

Property was not clean, had mold in showers and toilets not clean, countertops not clean, some of the dishes in cabinets were dirty along with the utensils. Dishwasher upper rack was broken. Toilet was broken but contacted owner and he promptly sent a repairman. Alarm went off upon entering bc the keypad at front door not working. Police came. Owner failed to tell us of the working keypad in kitchen. Owners phone number on contact info is not complete. It is a beautiful property just needs deep cleaning. Overall it has incredible views and great space. Great location

Mansion on Wilson lake
This was the perfect place for our family's approximate one week stay. The house does have a million dollar view of the lake from many different locations. There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. The kitchen was huge and up to date. The pool was perfect and also overlooked the lake. We brought our boat and parked it on the water just a mile or two down the road at a marina. The fishing was excellent for July (schooling wipers and largemouth). Rafi was an excellent host. The only question is...when do we do this again?

Amazing Views
This house has everything you would ever need. There was more than enough room for large families. Rafi is the best host I have had the pleasure of dealing with. This house is very close to any place you would need to go. The water is so calm since it is between Wheeler & Wilson Dams. This house is highly recommended by me. Hopefully, we will get to stay at the house again in the future.

Can't Beat the View
Five of us took a long girl's weekend to the lake. This is a beautiful house, in a wonderful neighborhood and the view is outstanding. There were one or two issues with cleaning, but nothing we had a real problem with, and the house could use a little love, but the value is certainly there. The view from the living room, master bedroom deck, the outside decks the basement, living room, kitchen and two upstairs bedrooms was fabulous. Having the pool is an extra bonus. There is plenty of nice outdoor seating. All the chairs and cushions are in great shape. The neighborhood is set up like an older country club and is a great option for walkers or runners. Or, if you want to go to the public parks, there are great trails there and a boat ramp if you're bringing a boat. Publix and your standard restaurants, stores and shops are five minutes away if you turn left out of the subdivision. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good sized and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and glassware including barware. Great Keurig coffeemaker that allows for cappuccinos and lattes and a decent set of knives. Just like any rental, if you need special pans, you should bring them - for example, we brought our spring pans and crockpot. Great washer/dryer, plenty of towels, etc. Nice fireplace on the upper deck and thanks, Rafi for supplying the logs. Rafi is probably one of the best VRBO hosts I've dealt with and is super responsive.

OMG, as the kids would say.
Absolutely amazing, this beautiful home with so much character , the views of the Tennessee River; the sunset and daybreak is so relaxing, the nearby restaurants and shopping was convenient. The home had everything a couple or family could desire, from the pool to the fishing pier, the patios, yes I said patios, one on each end of family room away from the children.; ages 3,9,11,and 14. Only kidding. The home was well stocked and the supplies were more than adequate Enough room for three families.. Our entire stay was perfect. Thank you Rafi for opening your home to us. As to reply to the other review of the beds not being comfy, could not be accurate, we stayed for 9 nights and let me tell you our sleeps were wonderful. We have stayed in condos, cabins, luxury homes On the oceans, this home would match up with any of them. We will rent again this fall, unless we can talk him into selling. Linda and Codie.

Older home, very well made.. Property located in a lovely neighborhood, and sits directly over the lake. Enjoyed the outside fireplace. Amazing lake views, Rafi is very nice to communicate with is very prompt.. sent someone to deliver propane for the gas grill. Some minor things identified that he has promised to correct.

Beautiful House in desperate need of cleaning & maintenance
This is the 4th large VRBO home I've stayed in and I was very disappointed. You might want to ask these questions before you book: Has basic cleaning been done on the dirty doors, light switches, toilet bases and showers? Have the refrigerator shelves been cleaned of the mold/mildew? Have the oven and outdoor grill been cleaned of old grease and old aluminum foil? Have the moldy coffee (from previous guests) grounds been removed? Have the old well-used sponges and scrubbies left at the kitchen sink been replaced with unopened new ones? Can any of the 3 garage doors be opened with the remote or must someone be inside the garage continously holding the button down in order for the 1 working door be opened? Do either of the 2 icemakers work or are they still broken? (and don't believe them when they tell you they will deliver ice every day to make up for it) Has the master bed mattress been replaced? (because it is BAD. See previous guests comments) Are there any pool floats available that are not ripped or with holes? (unusable ones are tossed in pool shed) Is the water trap on the pool deck still covered with a board? (must be careful to step over) Does the pool still leak and have the hose in it, continously adding water? (another thing that must be stepped over) Has the pool ladder been replaced (broken one is tossed in pool shed) Has the pool hand railing been reattached to the deck or does it still swing freely when grabbed? Have the pool shed doors been fixed enough so they close - and don't have to be tied together with a rope? (Also, they said they'd be out every day to clean the pool. That didn't happen. We did it ourselves.) Has the broken towel rack in upstairs bath been repaired (the handles were just pushed together- not good enough!) Has the nightstand door been repaired or is it still just pushed under the nightstand? (see Stan July 2020) Are half of the windows still cloudy (seals are obviously broken) or have they been replaced? Has some basic picking up of the area been done, like all the broken boards and old greasy grill tops thrown on the grass next to the grill? Or the balloon pieces (guessing from the last guests) on the pool deck? Or all the dead rose bushes along the driveway? Or the 10 pots on the decks with dead or dying plants? Is the walkway down to the river still wonky with the loose boards? There’s more, but I’m out of space. Very disappointing!!

Overall a good trip
The house is beautiful! Had some issues, though. Had no hot water in the master bathroom Monday morning, settled for a cold shower. The TV in the basement rec room wasn't hooked up to anything, so that didn't work. Didn't really want to sit on a bed to watch TV. The mattress in the master bedroom is completely worn out and pretty uncomfortable. In addition, I opened one of the lower doors on the dresser in that bedroom, trying to put my shirts in there, and it fell off the hinges (bruised my foot). I managed to re-attach it, but it will need the screws put back in. No propane for the grill. Sorry to sound like I'm complaining because the overall trip was fun. Rafi was very helpful in arranging this for me, and would love to stay there again. As mentioned, had to leave a day early for business reasons, but a beautiful house with awesome views. Hope to visit it again! Stan

Luxury Lake vacay
Our family (8) loved this huge lake house, nice, patios and pool, and fishing pier. The pretty front, grassy lawn was a plus. The kitchen appliances were great, and we appreciated the huge refrigerator & ice maker in the bar area. There are a lot of stairs to get to the pier and a couple need slight repair, but the exercise was good for us. The decor was far from our taste, but made it different and interesting at every turn. Who wants more of the same on a vacation?! 😊 We have already booked a return trip! LL

Loved the view!
We had high expectations but were disappointed with lack of maintenance; no hot water in main kitchen sink, master mattress needed replacement. We loved the patio off the kitchen, unfortunately the gas grills were too dirty to use. Dock and lower deck were awesome, however stairs to them were needing some maintenance. The home is beautiful - just needs maintenance

OVER ALL THE HOUSE WAS NICE WE ENJOYED OUR STAY A COUPLE OF THINGS NEEDED TO BE FIXED NO HOT WATER IN WALKIN SHOWER UPSTAIRS NO HOT WATER IN SINK IN BASEMENT BATHROOM THERE IS TWO SINKS IN THE KITCHEN ONE UNDER THE WINDOW THE HOT WATER RAN VERY SLOW THE ONE IN THE ISLAND WORKED FINE THE DINNING ROOM TABLES LOOKS NICE BUT THE CHAIRS ARE NOT COMFORTABLE. THERE IS PLENTY OF PLACES TO EAT IN THE AREA THE VIEW OF THE LAKE OR RIVER WAS GREAT

4th time at this location. So much has been done to the house that improves what was already a beautiful home!!!! New steps to the water, freshly painted exterior. Just amazing!! I LOVE this vacation spot and the owners are just as wonderful to work with.

we arrived on are date and the house wasnt clean do to a misunderstanding with the owner i can overlook it we have properties also and they were there to clean it very quickly then we found out no tv worked finally got one going so that was ok not there to watch tv but 2-hvac do not work so the house stayed a nice 78 degrees we were told a repair man was coming to fix both issues they never showed the down stairs bathroom was tore apart for remodel the upstairs bathroom and closets are full of mold and there is mouse traps in every room we also killed several roaches in the kitchen area the owner should probably take a look at his property and see about some major maintence we walked down the stairs to the water there are several rotten boards and most of the deck is falling apart we were told when we come back we could have 2-nights free no charge but will not be returning

Amazing Views
Beautiful home with beautiful views and if you like to fish, this is the place. Very quiet neighborhood and even some wildlife (deer) greeted us upon our arrival. Rafi was awesome to work with and addressed any concerns.

Great location and very spacious house! Needs a thorough cleaning and update!
We loved the location! Right on the water in a beautiful neighborhood. The house is very spacious and has plenty of room to spread out. Only 4 bedrooms which seems odd for its size. Three car garage and pool also were great for us. However, this house is in need of a major deep cleaning. There is mold in the showers and some closets. Kitchen appliances are nice but old and grimy and the hot water leaks in the kitchen sink. The ice make just dumps into a basket so every time you open the freezer ice falls out. Kitchen is not fit for cooking much. You get some basic pots and pans and knives but that’s about it. There aren’t even measuring cups. Outside there used to be a table to eat on the patio but it’s broke and been discarded. The pool storage house is a disaster. The dock ladder doesn’t even go down to the water so if you get in the lake you can’t get out. This house needs a crew to show up for a couple of weeks and clean inside and out and replace things that are broken.

Large house, beautiful views, but poorly maintained
I’ve used VRBO over the years around the country with nothing but success. This was marginal. The pool was closed for repairs and we weren’t warned ahead of time and the temps were in the upper 80’s, master bedroom shower didn’t drain properly, no door or curtain on the downstairs shower, weeds growing through the stairs and walkway to the dock, one house key provided to a house that sleeps a lot of people, sparsely furnished, gardens and yard were marginally maintained. Yes, the house was large. Yes, the views of the river were stunning. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. But, I would not recommend this house until work is done on it.

Great house with beautiful views of the Tennessee River in a lovely neighborhood.
We had a delightful, restful get away, and hope to return to this beautiful home in the future. We loved the pool, and the fact that there are such stunning views from nearly every room in the house. Simply wonderful!!!!!
