Such a nice stay
Choose this spot for a group stay and it was so chill and relaxing! We very much enjoyed the hottub with a snowy mountain view! The pictures are nice, but this place is much more charming in person! Plenty of prep/ cooking space in the stocked kitchen, extra blankets, towels, and pillows provided. The heaters were a little tricky to figure out as they provide a trickle heat, but give them a couple of hours and the place warms up (don't get overzealous with the settings at night or you may wake up too hot 😂) Other than that, we didn't experience any issues. Check out instructions were very reasonable, exactly what should be expected of guests to help with. We had a concern about being caught in a storm at check in time and the hosts accommodated us so that we weren't traveling/ unpacking in a snowfall. Great stay, 10/10 recommend. p.s. Absolutely adored the cute impressions found in some of the terracotta tiles on the floor (not spoiling it for other guests, but do take notice if you book!)

Quiet, clean, comfortable
We were in town for a wedding nearby. This little house was nicely appointed, very clean, very quiet and exactly as described. The photos on the listing don't do it justice - it's quite bright and charming.

Great Night Skies
This place was just as advertised. It’s a little way out of town but only a quick 10 minute drive. There are no food deliveries to this place so the guy at Nimarcos Pizza said on 6/17/23. The pizza was Great btw. All the homes out here are on some large lots. This place has really dark skies for stargazing too. It had ALL the bells and whistles in the kitchen also. Water filtering pitcher, condiment galore fill the big, roomy kitchen. We only slept in the master bedroom and the mattress was great with lots of pillows. I didn’t use the jacuzzi on the back patio but it looked really clean. This house doesn’t have central a/c but the 3 portable a/c units worked fine for us. We were there in mid-July. It was in the 90’s. But we stayed cool enough. I barely even looked in the other 3 bedrooms but they were nice and cheerfully furnished. We really loved our visit, we will be going back when it’s cooler out.

Nice clean house
The house was nicely remodeled inside. Too bad they had to use a portable air conditioning operation though. The cool air did not reach evenly through the house into the bedrooms. The landscaping was a disappointment. The kids wanted to play, but there were too many high weeds throughout the backyard to run or walk. A big umbrella would have been nice in order to be able to sit outside for drinks or a meal.The old fencing around the property decreased the aesthetic scenery of the beautiful mountains in the back… also a safety issue with younger kids.

Beautiful view!
Perfect place to stay just out of town. The house had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was a great plus after long days out exploring. Owner checked in mid-week to see if we needed anything. Very kind. Easy check out. High recommend this home!

Warm & Cozy Apres Ski Retreat
We had a great time staying here for our family ski trip. Comfy bedding, great amenities, appropriately stocked with household necessities, and great owner communication. Hot tub was sparkling clean and so needed after a day on the slopes. BEST part was the simple checkout - common sense requirements and no micromanaging :-)

Beautiful Area.
Clean and beautiful. Would stay there again. Things that could be better include: Kitchen supplies, yard cleared of overgrowth and ability to open windows with portable AC units.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback. If you could please message us directly about any kitchen essentials that we’re missing we’d love to know what we can add in terms if kitchen supplies. Unfortunately the house was built in the 1970s and the portable AC units are what they are.

Wonderful house
When I stepped in the house I felt at ease and loved it immediately. The decor was welcoming and perfect for Arizona . The view out back is stunning. The layout was nice with a bedroom and bathroom on one end and the 3 bedrooms in the other with a shared bathroom. The location was great for going into Flagstaff to enjoy the quaint setting and exploring the area from hiking on near by Mountains, enjoying the high ropes course at Flagstaff Adventure Course to going to Walnut Canyon or Antelope Canyon. And so much more we did not have time to do. I would recommend the house and hope to rent it again when I visit my Niece and great Niece

Amazing house and host
Silas was extremely accommodating. The house is amazing and the property is perfectly quiet. Unfortunately, the heat wave meant the house was too warm for us, but Silas was kind enough t adjust our reservation due to the unprecedented heat. Highly recommend this property! We will definitely return!

Great weekend!
This is the perfect place to go in Flagstaff. It is right off of 89, and not far from town. We also got to see monuments within miles of the house. There were fire restrictions, so next time we will go see more sites. We are definitely going back!

A week of fun and relaxation
We had a great time staying here with our dog while we visited the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, and all surrounding Flagstaff! The huge backyard was perfect for our dog to get exercise, and the hottub and stargazing was much needed after all the hiking. The bed was very big and comfortable and the showers were nice (though one could use a light over it). The heaters can be a bit confusing, but once they get going the house stays comfortable. Also be aware that there are horses and other dogs in surrounding yards that occasionally bark and may start a asking match with your dog through the fence. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it!

Great Stay in Flagstaff
We really enjoyed our stay here. Location was a bit out of town which kept it quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed the view of the stars from the hot tub. The hiking trails across the street were nice and we saw 4 bull elk there. Overall I would recommend this place to stay!

Not the worst, but had higher expectations
The property had benefits, but overall was a letdown. It is an acre property close to Sunset Crater and great hiking trails nearby. However, every day it seemed like something went wrong or disturbed the peace. When we first checked in, we found mouse droppings on the bed and throughout the house. Silas offered to bring traps, but we declined as it was just a few days. The next day, we found poop everywhere in the yard. I understand it is a pet friendly property, but owners and cleaning service should pick up in between guests. In addition, the neighbors across the street run a crossfit gym out of their garage, so from 6-10 pm you are startled by the loud clangs and slamming weights- sounded like a construction site. The following day, cleaning staff showed up on wrong day. Honest mistake. Then while in the backyard enjoying the peaceful hot tub, watching the sunset, the neighbor behind rode a motor dirt bike very loudly, startling other neighbor's horses, etc. The yard was also extremely overgrown - every time walking through it would leave burrs in pants and shoes. The final straw was at 7 am in the morning the day we were to leave. Someone peaked through the front door glass, then the front window. Probably cleaning staff or property owners since they didn't knock and left the neighborhood after, but very uncomfortable and felt unsafe. We left immediately after. There were also many wandering cats throughout the yard. Again, if you don't mind the noise and only need a place to sleep, not the worst. But we were looking for peace and got anything but. Will stay in Kachina Village or Mountainaire in future.

We are so sorry your stay was not more pleasant! We pride ourselves in offering a great stay and get-away. We have redoubled our efforts on cleaning and remedied the situation with the mouse, he will no longer be a problem! While the house is in a country setting, we do have neighbors and we respect their ability to enjoy their properties as we offer ours as a vacation rental. Again, our deepest apologies that we did not meet your expectations. Thank you for letting us know!

Leisure Lane
The house was very clean and beautiful woodwork on the inside. Nice place for a group with patios in front and back. Features of hot tub, fire pit, hiking trails, grill and the open space allowing pets were a bonus. Very easy to be there for meals as the kitchen is also well supplied.

We would definitely rent again. Within a short drive of all attractions. Away from the city and the peace and quiet was well needed. The view of the mountains was awe inspiring.

Perfect getaway..
My family consisted of myself, brother and sis-in-law. We had a wonderful time, the home was perfect for us. It was very welcoming and so well provisioned, the best stocked kitchen we’ve had in our many VRBO rentals. There were plenty of cozy blankets for settling in to watch a movie with as well as many extra bedding ones. It is in a beautiful setting and our two dogs were in heaven. I couldn’t have chosen a better home for our family to gather in. We even made some great ribs on the grill. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy this wonderful home. The only suggestion I would like to make is an umbrella on the back patio for the summer days. The front patio is a wonderful place to spend time also. Oh, my mom is 87 with a walker and she was able to get around so easily in and outside of the home. Thank you!

Perfect Tranquil Getaway
This home was ideal for our family weekend. The home is in such a tranquil and beautiful setting. Gorgeous views everywhere! The stars at night are stunning. Close to town, shops and within 2 hours of the Grand Canyon., This home is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds are very comfortable and kitchen has all amenities for any meal. Even the bathrooms had all amenities and were exceptionally clean. Thank you to the gracious hosts for a wonderful escape.

Country Gem
Enjoyable, relaxing country setting yet close enough to city amenities. Hot tub was a nice touch and "wow" the stars at night! Perfect for our two dogs with the large fenced backyard. Comfortable beds, nicely furnished, and very accommodating owners. It was perfect.

Wonderful and Peaceful!
What a wonderful place in a beautiful location. The large lots and view of the mountains was spectacular. Though we were in a neighborhood, the the lots are so large it felt like we were alone. Our two dogs had a blast in running in the backyard (yes, we cleaned up their droppings, and a few from previous canine guests)--we hope we got them all, but sometimes it's difficult to see the locations. Far enough away from downtown to not have the hustle and bustle, but close enough to go on a whim. Some great hiking very close by. The check-in was a breeze. This is definitely on our list of go-to places in the future.

Beautiful house
What a beautiful house! The backyard is huge and the hot tub was clean and warm. We loved our stay. Everything was provided. Peaceful country setting so close to town
We've come back to enjoy this home whenever we visit Flagstaff. We love the nighttime quiet, comfortable beds, star-gazing from the hot-tub on a winter night, or sharing a cozy evening in front of the woodstove. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the back patio is perfect for unwinding at the end of the day. Our dogs love long walks in the adjacent ponderosa pine woodland.

Quiet, Rustic, Refreshing
Our dog and the two of us found this property to be just as advertised! 10 miles north of Flagstaff seemed a world of relaxation away. We were in close proximity to Old Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, and Sedona, but not too close. The home is well-equipped; everything we needed was to be found. Appreciated the owner stopping in to introduce himself and to see if we had any questions. We hope to come back next year. A most pleasant vacation!

Beautiful home, great atmosphere, great views!
Silas, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at your home. It was very comfortable and felt like being at home. We took advantage of the nice weather to sit out back and watch the beautiful sunsets (with a beverage or two). I highly recommend your place to anyone.

Great little cabin in Flagstaff!!
Lovely cabin at the base of Snowbowl mountain. Beautiful view from the back yard, home is clean, well taken care of, and the hot tub was a plus!! Owners provided all that we needed for a wonderful two night stay. Lots of suggestions for restaurants and tours in the area. Beds were comfortable and lots of extra linens were much appreciated. Wonderful home away from home!
We stayed for three nights (over Thanksgiving) and appreciated the wonderful extras. There were beach towels for the hot tub (although be warned, only 2 can use it at a time), all the kitchen items you might need (even a crock pot!), and there is a gas grill. We used the grill for Thanksgiving steaks! It felt decadent to sit in the hot tub and look at the stars. We used the fire place every night and that definitely kept the house toasty. The property is only 10 minutes from Sunset Crater (worth it!) and 1.5 hours from the Grand Canyon (but the drive is pretty so it didn't seem that far). We highly recommend this property!

The property was great.
Everything was great except for the televisions. There was an Amazon Fire stick for one T.V. the other one only had games you could play. No television channels. Fortunately we brought our own devises to connect to our Directv in our house in Mesa but it was still not ideal. If medium cable T.V. was provided it would be perfect. Our Golden Retriever loved visiting the horses in the area behind the back yard and also walks in the national forest.

Awesome in every way!
Best VRBO we have stayed in traveling this way since 2004. Perfect location with the incredible pines across the street. Nice & peaceful evenings in the spa while enjoying the BBQ... Our 3 dogs were at Doggie Disneyland... The home is so well appointed with beautiful wood counters and cabinets in the kitchen. I love to cook and everything I needed including a rolling pin was at finger tip. The floors are beautiful. I love Saltillo tiles and the wood doors and frames perfect touch. Thanks so much for thinking of everything... Just Fabulous! We are coming back in August for 5 days..... Can't wait!

The location of the house was great!
The house served our needs well! It was clean, bed comfy, and room for guests! It would have been nice to have more shade in backyard to enjoy view of the mountains. The yard needs some work!! But overall, all was good!!

Nice home in an accessible area.
The hot tub was wonderful, great jets, hot water and big. The sky is amazing at night while sitting in the hot tub. The house is beautiful inside, with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Do not bring or buy condiments, they have everything! I am a tea drinker and they had hot tea available as well as a coffee pot. It was very hot when we were there and we had to request fans from the owners. They brought them over but they were a minimal help. The last night was so hot we ended up not being able to sleep and tossed and turned most of the night. We left for home by early morning. The owners were very apologetic and as I understand it this was a weird year for that kind of heat. We received our deposit back within a week.

Great Place
We stayed this past weekend. Great place, house is perfectly clean, well done home with great views! Got to see the meteor shower from their back yard hot tub after a long day of hiking. Would stay again.
