"What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!"

"The Auchenblae house is very spacious, well equipped, modern and great for families or groups of friends. "We had a really lovely stay at the boathouse—one senior and two adults—and it worked perfectly for us. The area is quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated, and it’s so close to Dunnottar Castle. The house itself was super comfortable with great beds and all the amenities we needed. We felt right at home. Communication with the host was friendly, and helpful. A great place to relax and enjoy the countryside."

"This is a very well equipped, spacious property which was real pleasure to stay in. The garden is well maintained with good outside seating and a BBQ. It is centrally located in Ballater so easy to visit shops and restaurants on foot, close to the golf course and local walks in easy reach.
