"Gorgeous family home, very well equipped with fantastic views. Northton beach and Ceapabhal hill are literally on your door step, as is Croft 36 a craft bakery who make amazing food. The location is also great for reaching Leverburgh approx 3 miles which has a brewery, restaurant (great food) deli and bottleshop. It’s located beside the Ferry for those who want to explore more of the outer Hebrides. A golf course and lots of other beaches and hill are nearby. Will definitely book to stay here...

"We loved Macaulay cottage - it’s in a great location for visiting the many wonderful beaches and bays on Harris. The cottage has everything you need and the owners are really helpful. It was a great place to return to after a day out. Some of the well known walks (Scholars path and coffin trail) start from the cottage or nearby. We enjoyed kayaking with seals in the the bay by the cottage. "

"We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. Spacious enough for the teenager and the pre-teen to be separated and mum and dad to have some space to chill out!
