Staff were excellent. In the heart of filey itself, out of the door and straight onto the street with a variety of shops to please everyone. Breakfast was an add on price as was the parking. Downsides were the steep stairs to the room and a very noisy pub opposite. Would definitely stay again but for less mobile guests its not ideal.

The most outdated ever seen for the type of money paid. Ā£100 per night was far to expensive for a room which was dirty and stained sheets with very loud floor boards and the door locks did not make you feel safe.

This is not worth the price. This is a tired old pub. Room was a good size but severely in need of updating. Having to go through part of the kitchen to get to the rooms is very odd. The bathroom was large but no heating so was cold. The tiles around the bath/shower were dirty. The heating was on a timer but you can't set the times. I was provided with a fan heater though. Trailing cables to the small tv and extension cable for the kettle. As it is the closed season the pub actually closed at 5pm so we were given keys to access the back door. We were the only people in the building.

We appreciate the location is town centre but the shabby condition of the accommodation is nowhere near the Ā£100 price tag charged per night. It gets worse, as you have to pay another Ā£10 to park in the pubā€™s car park overnight. Really feel that weā€™ve been seriously overcharged for what was probably worth no more than Ā£60/Ā£70 max. Staff we met were helpful and friendly though.

The staff were freindly but the whole place was filthy . The tv in the room didnt work .you had to go to the bathroom to fill the kettle which you couldnt get under the tap properly so you could only half fill it. There was no hand basin in the room or in the toilet so if somone was using the bathroom and you had used the toilet you could not wash your hands i would definitely not use this place again

This property is totally worn out and criminal the charge for room only is Ā£100 for a double room. There didnā€™t seem to be anyone in charge and all the staff were young and inexperienced. In short the experience was terrible and a disgrace.

In desperate need of renovation. Everything plugged into an extension lead. Carpets dirty, marks all over. Mildew and condensation on single glazed windows. Staff very friendly but would not go back again.

staff are friendly and very welcoming, breakfast was good the room was clean. the only thing I would say is that the beds were not comfortable and could do with being updated. some entertainment was missing, would have been nice to have this in the evenings.

The staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. While the stairs were narrow and difficult for someone of limited mobility, the nature of the building makes this understandable. However, there were features advertised that were not in practice available. Parking Available - there is a pay & display public car park that adds Ā£10 per day. Had this been clear we would not have stayed here. Bar - the bar is only available if the town itself is busy. While I wouldnā€™t expect it to be open 24/7 it is very disappointing for it to close in the afternoon and therefore not available to guests staying in the hotel in the evening. Restaurant - again, like the bar only opens if the town is busy, and only in the afternoon. Even when it was busy in the evening, food was no longer available. This is again disappointing for those staying in the hotel, forcing you to try and find a meal nearby. Breakfast - while available and of reasonable quality, the price of Ā£8 was far too high for what was offered. Also, there was a note saying towels were not provided only for us to be provided with towels. Overall a very disappointing place to stay. We selected this based on features it advertised that in practice turned out to not be available. Had that been clear, we would not have stayed there. I would not recommend staying there to anyone.

The room marks all over the wardrobes, wallpaper falling off stuck up with tape ,bed sheets marked, bed base stained. Toilet walls all mark poo inthe Toilets brush, bathroom not to clean. Was told beakfast was only Ā£5 when arrived they said it had gone to Ā£8 would not say it was the best to say it was dearer 1 slice bacon 2 small sausage 1 egg beans and tomatoes. 2 slice toast

Overall not bad. Very disappointing when the bar closed at 18:30. Staff were very good and they were very friendly. Excellent breakfast for the price.

The young people running the hotel were very helpful and welcoming but we would have appreciated information in the changed car park situation especially as we now needed to pay and with coins!! No-one carries that amount of pound coins these days and Ā£10 for overnight is a lot of coins never mind expensive when generally parking is free after 6pm. We would have appreciated the tea tray being replenished for our second night too. Obviously it was very quiet in the evening so we had no way to contact you in the evening or night time
