"Our cabin was very clean and neatly furnished. The deck looked over the lake. One bed was super soft and the other was firm. The kitchen had plates, utensils, etc. with a fridge and stove. The bathroom while tiny, had a showerhead with handle and enough towels for 2 people. The restaurant was busy, so reservation helped. The food was delicious. "Clean and comfy! Great mattresses! Exactly what we needed! My 20 year old son enjoyed the space from parents in the loft bedroom. I enjoyed using the kitchen table as my sewing station. The men enjoyed fishing nearby. Hubby really enjoyed the live music in the downtown at night. We ate in a couple meals a day so there was plenty of dishes and tableware. Host left lots of snacks so. Really enjoyed those. The Keurig seemed to have bit the dust by there was a drip maker too which is what we prefer...

"This place was great! I could sit on the porches all day! The best thing about sitting in the porches is that I didn’t notice any mosquitoes, I think the bat population from the caverns in Blanchard springs near by keep the mosquito population low. I also used the fire pit to eat hot dogs and s’mores one night. My children, 5 and 11 year olds loved it as well. I plan on staying here there again in future. "

"This was our 2nd time staying at this property and would recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable and relaxing place. The home is well stocked with dishes, coookware, a grill and plenty of towels as well as option to do laundry. Just be prepared to hear sounds of nature such as birds or cicadas. If anything is needed the owner is very responsive. "

"We had the best stay here!! The history of the house was amazing and the owners have kept it original while adding the modern conveniences. Myself and my daughters stayed and we spent so much time trying to take in all the special touches like the history of the house and of Shirley, very cool to read about!
