"Place was clean, neat and serene. Being an older gent, having the 2 rocking chairs was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Also, they were stocked with most of anything that you might have forgotten to bring. And that was a nice little town we were close to. Recommend to anyone staying in the area. PS —- loved the antique TV set. "

"It was a rustic cabin, it had power, microwave, a good size fridge. Easy to get to, could park right out front. Had use of our own port-a-potty. Walking distance to the creek. Kids loved playing it in. Dog friendly. Owner was very friendly. We happen to come during out of normal hot temps… but at night still very comfortable. WiFi is only at the main house and had bring being our own bedding, that was unclear on this site… but on the main website it’s much more clear. Thanks again! If I ever...

"Don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. The only regret you'll have is not staying longer. So many things to do and see and you won't feel bad doing nothing at all it is so relaxing. Hosts advice and directions accurate and informative. You don't need to bring anything as the owls nest has everything you'll need for an amazing stay. Thank you."

"Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! "

"Our second time staying at this home. Very nice. Love the accessibility to Dolly Sods. Very unique home! The hot tub is an added bonus. Great way to start your day and a great way to relax at night. "

"What fun we all had! The indoor pool was definitely a highlight for us! kids of all ages were able to enjoy the game room and spend quality time in and around the lake. The use of 2 large refrigerators and 2 dishwashers made cooking and clean up a breeze. "

"This house in the mountains is amazing. It is a perfect retreat. Not only are the surroundings beautiful, the house and property are meticulous. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to make a gourmet meal. Lizz, Tom and Daisy are top notch hosts and made us feel so welcomed. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The inside of the house was very clean and very tastefully decorated. The view was out of this world! The one thing that we would like to note, is that prior guests left large dog poop on the balcony that was not cleaned up by the staff. In addition, there was a bag of dog poop left in front of the home. Everything else was excellent and we still appreciate it being dog-friendly."

"We only staied anfew days but loved the house and resort pool. The local town shopping was fun as well"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Birdhouse Lodge. It was quiet, cozy and had a great view of nature. The road to get there was steep and bumpy but my Prius handled it (in June, no snow). The main bed was too soft, but without the foam topper it was just right for us. The listing is accurate except that there are now FOUR TVs and nice chairs around the firepit. If you plan to cook, bring a few things (hot mitts, aluminum foil, etc). Other reviews are right about the extremely low water pressure. That...

"The stay was fabulous!! Having 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators 2stoves2coffeemakers! Brilliant!!We had plenty of space to cook for seventeen guests! The communal spaces were comfy and condusive for the games we played. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit!"
