"I stayed at this for a few days of peace and quiet and not sure I could find a better place. The whole establishment was clean and a nice balance between retro and modern, which made it homely but also very comfortable. I stayed in one of the top floor rooms with new Veluxes, a shower with excellent hot water and comfortable towels. "A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. "We really enjoyed our two-night stay at the Horseshoe Inn. Jamie was welcoming and the room was clean and spacious. The food was also incredible! You can tell it’s home cooked and fresh. All the previous reviews I read are true. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough."
