"this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. "I realize this is a cabin in the woods and things happen. Like the ants in the kitchen and equipment failure (like the microwave that sparked if you tried to use it). But the property itself lacked care: rotted wood on porch unkempt landscaping, broken slat in window blind. I did appreciate the washer and dryer after five days there, though. Tyler was prompt in responding to my issues but there was little he could do other than alert his staff. "

"We had family from all over the country come and meet here for a week. This place was stunning, absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It had plenty of space to accommodate us all! Very clean and comfortable. One thing I would recommend is having back up linen such as top and bottom sheets, pillow cases and blankets. Maybe a larger trash bin for bigger/longer stays. Went to New River Gorge ATVs, Rail Explorers and the Cass Scenic Railroad while here. (Make sure to print out directions before taking off, as WiFi not always available when out and about!). Fun time. WV is a great adventure."
