"The place accomidated all 8 of us. They have comfortable beds. It was close to town. Just so you know, there is a school across the street, but it didn’t seem to be an issue. The neighbors were friendly! The host was very attentive and answered quickly. "

"Such a cool space! Set right in the heart of Humboldt's famous redwoods, but only a quick drive to town (Fieldbrook, Blue Lake especially) and SUPER peaceful. We had plenty of floor space for my bestie to set up an air mattress as well. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating - would love to come back again sometime soon!"

"We chose the boathouse to have our small dog with us. But it was a bonus for us too. It is darling decorated in the nautical theme. Our host thought of so many things to make it homey. I wasn’t sure what to expect, like napkins, paper towels and tissues, so didn’t have to go to the market right away. We would rebook if we are going to the north coast. Sorry didn’t take pictures!"

"Wonderful small book group reunion hosted here. Well stocked kitchen and dining area and comfy areas for conversation. Love the bedrooms and natural light. Lovely to get eggs and milk at the neighborhood farm. We enjoyed Brick & Fire Bistro, the Sequoia Park Zoo & Garden, and Arcata Farmers Market. We hope to return next year"

"The house is a cute, little place that was just about right for my family. We stayed here before 2 years ago and it was just as good the second time. The house itself is pet friendly, but as you can see in the photos the yard isn't fully fenced. Not a problem for us, but if you have a runner be aware. The house is walkable to the plaza and many restaurants. "

"My wife and I had stayed here several years ago and had our dogs. This time it was just me, and it was wonderful, just as I remembered it. The location is great and the cottage is clean and comfortable, with all the necessities. The neighborhood is clean and quiet and the open space by the shore is fun to explore. Add in the fact that Gill’s diner is a 3 minute walk, and perfecto! We will definitely stay here next time we are in the area."
