The people in the north are the happiest people in Germany. A study by the UNI Freiburg shows that the Schleswig-Holsteiners are the happiest inhabitants of the republic. We want our guests to feel like Schleswig-Holstein on their vacation on the Schlei!

In January 2018 we started renovating and expanding our new holiday home to 150 square meters. Five bedrooms (two with TV), two bathrooms, the living room with a large screen TV, a spacious kitchen and the large dining hall with space for eight people at the long table will help our future guests to feel comfortable with us. Age-appropriate beds are available for younger guests and teenagers. The large garden gives the children the opportunity to play and let off steam while the parents relax on the comfortable loungers. The gas grill on the grill terrace is always ready for a hearty BBQ. Dogs are in good hands because the garden is completely fenced. With the two SUP boards you can paddle super standing on the Haddebyer Noor or the loop. The Noor is only 50m away. Bicycles brought along can be safely stored in the bike shed directly at the house. The batteries of electric bikes can be charged directly in the bike shed.
Of course, hikers and cyclists or guests who want to set up our HAITHABU holiday home as a base for their explorations here in the beautiful "far north" are also welcome. There is more to discover around our location than you can do in a holiday. The cultural diversity ranges from the state museums in Gottorf Castle in Schleswig, to the palace gardens, the Globushaus, the fishing settlement Holm, the Schleswig Cathedral with its Brüggemann altar and the Viking museums on the banks of the Haddebyer Noors. The open-air museum in Kiel - Molfsee shows vividly and very interestingly how people in the north have lived in past epochs. The Multimaar Wattforum in Tönning at the Eidersperrwerk beautifully shows life in and in the North Sea. A complete list of all possible activities in our region is not possible here.
All surrounding cities have their own charm and are waiting to be discovered. The culinary offerings around HAUS HAITHABU offer something for every hunger. Fish eaters get their money's worth here, of course. But there are also many restaurants in the area, from Greeks, Indians and Chinese to "fine local cuisine". And of course the fish sandwich at the harbor in Schleswig, Husum, Kappeln or Flensburg also tastes good!

Five years ago, we set up two apartments in the HAITHABU holiday home, the SCHLEIBLICK apartment and the NOORBLICK apartment, which are very popular and are very busy. Our guests love the quiet location and still don't have to do without shopping. Supermarkets, bakers, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, post offices and banks are all within a two-kilometer radius. So our guests do not have to do without their breakfast rolls and can do their shopping comfortably.

The loop is a branch of the Baltic Sea, which extends about forty kilometers from the mouth of the slime to Schleswig. At the end of the loop the Haddebyer Noor branches off, which merges into the Selker Noor. In the summer, there are some swimming spots here and on the loop to refresh you. If you prefer beach operations, you can be at the Baltic Sea or the North Sea with ebb and flow in a short time. The Schlei is a beautiful water sports area and the flat landscape with its well-developed cycling and hiking trails invites you to go on excursions in the area. The European hiking trail leads right past the property.
