"My family has stayed at nearly every hotel on Jekyll. Our current go-to is Hampton Inn. While it doesn’t have the ocean views other hotels have, I love the tree lined boardwalk. The pool is the best part of the hotel, it is shaded and heated year round.
My most recent trip to the Hampton Inn was frustrating and disappointing. The desk is usually helpful and outgoing. This year, it was evident they were stress and under strain. When we visited in the spring, we learned about a new pool towel...

"This is an outstanding hotel in a great location. The hotel is looks like new and the lobby is very spacious and attractive and the staff was especially helful and welcoming. Great fitness center! The room was among the best I've stayed in recently and I've recently traveled and stayed in San Francisco, Big Sky Montana, Jacksonville, Florida and 3 hotels in Switzerland. The kitchenette was the best! The desk area was large as well as the sitting area with couch. I'll be back!"

"The staff were very nice. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The last ghting over the sink was not bright enough when trying to apply makeup. And no place in shower to set your shampoo and soap. But as far as the grounds were beautiful! It was peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely go back."

"Don't expect an early check in even if you get an email offering it because the hotel doesn't uphold it even when it was approved. Drove 13 hours to have to wait almost 5 hours for my room, because upon arrival I was told "we don't do that amymore" well then, why was i offered and approved for an early check in then. Getting towels was like asking for gold. All and all not worth 1400 for 5 nights."
